To follow on from my previous post.. if any one grows a "kevlar beard" I will personally hunt them down Dont get me wrong I am a real gun geek and find some of their weapons drool worthy and understand the exact reasoning behind the way they set them up but it just appears people had the DVDs muted when they did the whole section of tailoring a weapon to yourself.

Yup, only way round it is to go with a CASV or the like if you want easy access to the hop. Chances are the upper receiver is slightly out of spec, any one tried out any of the after market bodies to see how they line up? Also still desperately looking for a stockist of the clone hop unit to take AEG barrels, some one put me out of my misery please!

On the subject of ebaybanned parts avoid the 10" free float rail they are selling. The locking ring blocks access to the hop adjustment and even if you cut the ring to make it easier it would still mean stripping the front end off every time you needed to adjust it. The rail doesn't line up so well neither sitting slightly higher than the flat top rail on my rifle.

I did the only one I could find was this one and I wasnt sure if it was the right one or not as it doesnt say, assumed it was a standard hop replacement.

Any one have a link as to where I can get a PGC hopup copy that delivers to the UK please? Only link I found in the thread was dead... I held a moments silence for the dead link too.

The review threads are way too much on the chatty side with the occasional gem of info in there. To have to sift through the X amount of a "review" thread to find technical fix info is a bit off even more so when the techy part of the forum has no info in it. What makes it worse is when some one asks they are pointed at the mega thread of doom to find the info :S

Same problem here Wraith, my workaround for the pins not going back in is to half insert the front pin then fully insert the rear pin. After that my front pin goes all the way in, not sure if it will work for you but on mine if the front pin is all the way in my rear pin will not go in at all.

I went a different way for my DMR rifle after seeing all the M14 and armalite variants. Heavily modified with a parts list that gets into the scary region. Restricted to semi only and putting out 425. With the helical gears, mosfet and hi torque motor it sounds like some one kicking puppies so she is nicknamed Cruella on site :-)
