I see it's TM compatible.  Does that extend to mags?

Not the mags mate, but most of the lower is TM compatible - the mags are actually very nicely made and have a venting system to ensure a complete fill.

It's nicely made and they've even fitted a steel hammer, valve knocker and sear as standard, instead of the usual cheese.....😊

  2. It's like a combo of Glock, Sig & HK.

I think it's a breath of fresh air. Tbh, I'm fed up with the same old, same old offerings. This is a looker and handles like a dream - RS based or not.

  3. Not sure I've seen these mentioned.

Brilliant gun, very accurate and well made. Tbh (imo) the build quality and solidity puts many TM's to shame.

Comes in a nice case with extra back strap and a (good quality) speed loader.

Really liking your process of refinishing the plastic grips. They make those pistols look great. You need to do a video!

    Thanks mate.

They are hydro dipped, then coated in 2k matt clear coat.

Takes a couple of hours per pair, but worth it imo.

The box is cool, but this M9A3 is a piece of . Each shot goes a different direction and gave up on her. Using the box for Marui M9A3 and might buy KSC’s A3 instead.

Who is the manufacturer of your’s? Looks really good with the grips.

    Hi mate.

    It's a Marui US M9.

The grips are the originals which I hydro dipped and then applied a 2k matt clear coat.

  6. Dunno if the mags are proprietary as not checked any cross comparisons yet, but they are well made and leak free.

I got this from Firesupport who have it in other colour combos and they stock comprehensive spares for it.

Seems to be loosely based on the FN FNS-9 as far as I can see. Small accuracy test today at 7-10m and it was pretty much spot on point of aim. Trigger take up is a little springy / mushy but the let off is light and crisp - it feels quite nice overall. Also comes with a moderator adapter in the box. Mag and slide release are both ambi and the dot sights are luminous.

Other thing to note is the report is notably loud compared to other pistols I have. Really liking this so far tbh. These have been out for a while now, so surprised I've not seen them mentioned on here, unless I've missed it of course.

  7. Just got one today, so brief overview.

Lighter than I expected, maybe 675g or so, but it still feels good and solid with no rattles.

The finish is really nice and well executed. Comes with an additional larger grip section, but despite having larger than average hands, to me the smaller one felt nicer.

The blowback is extremely satisfying and snappy - kind of akin to the TM Strike Warrior. No accuracy tests etc yet, but will update. Very impressed with this, really nice gun for the first attempt by ICS, and dirt cheap.

  8. I've been here since 2005.

I liked the old days with those like Havoc / Hissing Sid / Snowman / SpedzFX / R22 / Hitman etc.

Personally I hate Facebook and prefer forums, but this place is very quiet now. I don't think the VCRA helped either, as quite a few on here were collectors / chairsofters who could then suddenly no longer purchase anything new due to a lack of defense. Not everyone has the time to go skirmishing.

I still pop in for the news and I like the picture threads.

  9. Another TM / Guarder build - 1911 A1 Army.

I didn't like the oem dark brown plastic grips, so gave them the faux wood treatment.

This is quite useful, as 1. saves you buying and possibly modding wood grips, 2. you can retain the grips weights to keep the gun a nice weight.
