Finally got an AK in my collection.. well since it's been so long why not get 2? One of these is a GNG AKMS and the other is a LCT AKMS 2009 conversion kit. Can you tell the difference??
LCT is the top one - pinned gas block and the sight slidder will sit on the trunnion at ranges below 300m

Well finally decided to add something different to my collection, and they arrived today
Also got a 1980s Gerber mk1 in the original box - apparently it cost 32.50 back then; but haven't had time to prepare and photograph it yet.....

I'll have to say I had an excellent experience with them.

well the front end that i was going for was the lct 104 front set link A that you provided, would that fit at all?

Oh wait a second - it's one of the new generation of TM AKs isn't it? Forgot about them for a moment.
to be honest not sure, I suspect not as LCT provides replacement barrel sets to convert the 74M to the 104 cf C

Anyone had an experience marrying a CYMA AKM with a ACM Romanian foregrip? Should fit alright, shouldn't it?

The Cyma AKM is based on the VFC single interference fit pin in the trunnion. Most of those ACM for-grips are designed for the TM style gun - 4 screws at the bottom of the receiver.
I suspect the tab that is meant to fit into the receiver is too big to fit?

Surely thats going to get in the way of a 9.6v stick battery?
No the Bolt carrier doesn't - however the gas blocks may be a little to tight for for some stick batteries. My AKMS stripped the heat shrink off a few stick batteries before I gave up and bought 3 lipos

LCT use cyma gearboxes, at least im pretty sure they still do. always used to.
Recently, since the start of the year I think, they've started offering pre-built guns with their own stock gear box.

The railed fore-ends should fit - but unfortunately the full front ends probably won't.

The LCT kit will fit on any dboys body
the ebairsoft has an another version of ak104 forepart if you'll cut down a dboys ak74 barrel and fit this you'll have an ak104
None of the LCT front-end kits are compatible with a Dboys AK; they use 2 different methodologies of truncheon affixation -
Dboys follow the VFC method of a single interference fit pin to connect the truncheon to the receiver where as LCT/RMW/Guardier use 2 grub screws in the gas system and a false interference pin impression on the receiver.
And of course the older Mauri based ones won't work either, and I don't know about the fore part conversions for the latest Mauri 74M.

how is the fitment of CYMA bodies to LCT front ends such as the ULTIMAK?
VFC based Cymas should be fine (single interference pin) but old Mauri style Cymas maybe not (4 screws in the bottom of the receiver) as the tab at the rear of lower fore-end is smaller on a Mauri based receiver.
Which model of Cyma AK do you have?
#Opps mis-read that about front and fore-end - however standard LCT front ends shouldn't fit, Mauri based ones may depending on the exact model.
It is front-end (the part from truncheon forward) and not fore-end (part one holds) you're referring to?

What I am looking for is a rear sight that is more like the Krebs or the Galil. But if it is not possible I guess I am SOL.
