  1. Not necessarily;) The Cyma AKM is based on the VFC single interference fit pin in the trunnion. Most of those ACM for-grips are designed for the TM style gun - 4 screws at the bottom of the receiver. I suspect the tab that is meant to fit into the receiver is too big to fit?

  3. That is a thing of pure beauty. All it needs now for company is a pint of whiskey and an ashtray full of butts or have I been watching too much film noir again.....

  6. No the Bolt carrier doesn't - however the gas blocks may be a little to tight for for some stick batteries. My AKMS stripped the heat shrink off a few stick batteries before I gave up and bought 3 lipos
  7. Recently, since the start of the year I think, they've started offering pre-built guns with their own stock gear box. *edit for link
  8. The railed fore-ends should fit - but unfortunately the full front ends probably won't.
  9. None of the LCT front-end kits are compatible with a Dboys AK; they use 2 different methodologies of truncheon affixation - Dboys follow the VFC method of a single interference fit pin to connect the truncheon to the receiver where as LCT/RMW/Guardier use 2 grub screws in the gas system and a false interference pin impression on the receiver. And of course the older Mauri based ones won't work either, and I don't know about the fore part conversions for the latest Mauri 74M. Have a couple of Dboys and LCT & Unicorn AK kits VFC based Cymas should be fine (single inter

  17. Yes funny how the initially introduced L-frames visually follow one of the Python's most distinctive visual cues [at that time, now you can't swing a cat but for all the revolvers that come with some form of full length lug] - A pure co-incidence to be sure . Mind you the King Cobra corresponds closer to the introduction of the Ruger GP100 series then that of the L-frame - Which was even cheaper then the corresponding S&W and came with rubber combat grips as stock. Another reason for the pre-dominance of the Smith in the LE market was the perception that the Smith action and cyli
  18. I stand imformed, but makes sense, as I said know nothing of the k-frame Well that and to compete directly with the Colt Python to which they had begun to loose sales.
  19. Would you believe due to the size of the N-frame, I find the "service" type grips very comfy , about the same as the Hogue mono-grip on my 629 - which are slimmer then the stock "target" grips. K-frame does benefit from the larger "target" grips for my hands, but are too bad without them, I would assume the same for L-frame since they're closer to the K rather then the N-frame in dimensions. X-frames are just weird..... J-frames suck and do need larger grips - mind you I assume they would suit a petite female, not that there are any petite revolver operators on Arnies to confir
  20. Actually they're more like the older stock "service" grips, you used to see them alot when the model 28 was still a standard S&W catalogue item - but you see them on their classic series like the recent model 22 classic .45acp revolver. The current "stock" grips used to be an optional "target" grip for most models:). I believe the model 29 never had a service version like their .357 and .41 magnums - note the adjustable sight unlike the M21, 28, 51 or 581, also some older model 27s can be seen with the slim "service" type grips. I think I can find an old Paker Hale magazine advert ba
  21. Ahhhhh, just got new grips and pimped my Model 29 [faux] Pearl just like a New Orleans pimp, well according to Geoge S Jr. anyway DarkMM
  22. Wanted to check out a different maker so I got a couple of MTech folders - I really should have read the description of the pearl handled one closer I didn't notice it was larger until I open the package today Now the curious thing is, I picked up a Boker for a mate at the same time - They would seem to be the same knife , same design materials, build quality etc. DarkMM
