  1. Hey guys, I just got my D Boys AKS-74U wood handuard version from Evike, but mine has vented handuards. I haven't seen any pictures of anyone having vented handguards, not only on D Boys guns but also on CYMA and Unicorn ones. The top one doesn't seem to fit very well (and is kind of hard to take out) and kind of rests at a slight angle. I'm wondering what happened, are these from some other gun, or does D Boys have vented wood handguards that they are including with some of their AKS-74Us?
  2. Wow, great job on the receiver "bulge" on the RPK, how did you do it?
  3. Is the pistol grip on the Real Sword still quite a bit fatter (like all other airsoft AKs) than a real one?
  4. It seems like there are a few issues and things that might break or need replacing, so should I not get the gun if there aren't any airsoft technicians or repair places around here and I don't know how to do gearbox work and don't trust myself doing it?
  5. If you have the hopup all the way off (if it's like the TM hopup that will mean all the way to the right) then try moving it to the left like 1 millimeter. Sometimes on AK hopups if they're as far off as they can go it will actually somehow put quite a bit of backspin on the BB, and if you make it so it's only like 99% off instead of 100% off, it will bring it down to where it should be.
  6. Although I'm a big fan of high FPS (live in American and me and the people I play with are all in the 400 FPS range), I'd be concerned with this power in $30 dollar Chinese gearboxes like in these new AKS-74Us, seems like these gearboxes are going to explode pretty soon. And this sucks because I was kind of hoping to get one of these guns and leaving them stock.
  7. About the hopup; if it's like the TM hopup then the slider being all the way to the right is the off position, and you move it to the left to turn it on. AK hopups can sometimes be kind of tricky, try again starting with it all the way off and keep testing it in your garden or wherever you can fire it and keep moving the slider further and further to the left (millimeters at a time) and see if you can hit a "sweet spot". I'd spend a lot more time on it before thinking you'd need to replace it or telling others that.
