I asked because he used the RS gas tube, which of course is full, but doesn't fit a battery. But obviously, the space under the top cover and in the gas block still is big enough for a stick battery.

Where do you put the battery now? I agree, on pictures it looked good to me, but now that I own a VFC AKS I must say it looks like plastic furniture. That's why I swapped it for a RS one The furniture on the new AIMS looks decent though, seems like they've seen the problem.
