  1. It appears that the only thing WE did not fail to do is, in fact, fail.

oh yes, I got a 6.02 tightbore in a chinese clone, go go low tolerance workmanship!

Ironically VFC gbbr is not a lot better...

  2. It lacks many details. WE ^RealSteel Also: Wrong selector positions, Ak47 tacticrap selector switch + "experimental" polymer handguard, wrong triggerguard(realsteel one is round near the grip). And I think the mag looked longer than realsteel. WE does not even need to look at a realsteel; they just need to take a look at VFC AKs-74U(pretty correct aside from dimension of siderail) or VFC clones. The real problem is that WE got the receiver wrong; and that happens to be one part that is very unlikely to have RA-tech replacement for. RA-tech needs to make its own WE
  3. It appears that WE is extremely biased towards western weapons. Because the Ak lacks soo much detail(and reliability, AND performance...) while their XM177, hk416...etc. was just fine.
  4. You just cut on the back end of tiny tab on the bottom of the bolt until it pulls as far back as the real one?
  5. I LOLed when he said "100th year of [his] nation"... 10% discount for nothing...
  6. There is a new revision: before: after:
  7. Apparently the softer potmetal is the buffer...lol. But it does make sense that you would not need a buffer when you get RA tech steel bolt(in the near future, hopefully...), because everything behind that block is all steel.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RquWbt1jidI Yes, it still decreased the bolt travel by at least 4cm...but at least it is made with machined steel and only cost around $16(490TWD). They are taking preorders. Here is how to install it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VKi1Lw4hhc The real highlight can be spotted on the table: AKMSU muzzle brake(a tw player worked on it with CNC machine last time I checked). ...So much for realism of full bolt travel...
  9. Quick! Someone give me a valid reason to not preorder a RealSword SVD for $800 from RealSword!

800$? Wasn't it 700$??? GBB kit? What am I missing?

@Azubi: If you are talking about that time when we spotted the two people that were dropped there first, then yes. Until somebody decided to take his pants off anyway...

Next year we should do a staged photo shoot of this:

I just asked a RealSword rep, the price for the rifle + scope is $800 before shipping.

  10. Nothing you can do. All the TW players who got free replacement parts got them through teh TW shops. That apparently did not include airsoftglobal.
  11. That looks redneck...and that is not a compliment. Wrap it in duck tape and you might be onto something funny. AKMSU foregrip looks a lot better.
  12. I thought L85 was their last original GBBR.
  13. I think, by now, I can say: I don't want to say "I told you so"... But I told you so. I think the proper way to use WE AK is to: 1. buy from evike. 2. shoot over 9000 mags in one day(or just before the warranty is gone). 3. tell evike to send you replacement parts. 4. it will arrive a few months later when WE finally decided to fix the fatal flaw of that part(be it material usage or whatever). 5. you have a more reliable rifle. Or wait for a few months and see if WE fixes those huge list of flaws I pointed out earlier, like what I am doing right now.
  14. ^That is a pretty well-made hop-up block. I did not need the frontset anymore because of this: And a closer shot to properly show the shiny finish to properly identify the brand of this AK: Yes, that is the GLORIOUS Red-Alliance patch; issued by supply officer Tascabov(if you go to Operation EastWind, you will be very familiar with him).
  15. Good News: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IegQ7-kwwuU Recoil kit that decreases bolt travel by 1cm and puts the rate of fire at realsteel level, without decreasing the force of recoil. And apparently you can increase the rate of fire by pressing down the guide rod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zy7Ytp69dQ&feature=youtu.be fixed by placing two staples under the top cover as pictured to push the top cover up(and thus making the recoil rod tilt down a little).
  16. You are lucky. I have one complete Dboys Aks-74u front set sitting in the basement, unused.
  17. Here is a thread on TW forum that have people reporting their broken parts on WE Ak(as expected, already breaking are the "environmentally friendly" parts, according to TW players): http://www.arms-cool.net/forum/thread-99688-1-1.html First broken part-firing pin. The user just finished one can of (propane)gas... recoil lowered immediately, full-auto became sluggish. Five out of his ten mags failed to stop the gun from firing without bb. And here is WE rep's immediate response: Some parts are not meant to be potmetal... At least WE treat their "beta testers" nicely wit
  18. You are getter off with the hi-caps. Cyma drum mag has been fitted to it before; but this is a RPK74. Also, banana-mag hicaps fit into more pouches(drum mag needs a fat pouch).
  19. No, that is why I think it is a problem. http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1614 This should work. Also, it is not fast-broken; it is Quick Detach. XD No, that is why I think it is a problem. http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1614 This should work. Also, it is not fast-broken; it is Quick Detach. XD It is a support weapon(even though it is not nearly as effective as the PKM) so you should be using hi-caps. But MAG midcaps does not fit very solidly(well, some may; they ha
  20. Real steel bipod or even LCT bipod part can both work. The problem is finding that part by itself without the bipod. Anyway, if it is not broken(yet), there is no need to fix it immediately. CYMA really should have made that part out of cast steel, but it seemed like they tried too hard at cutting cost. Hopefully they see this problem and revise their build.
  21. Apparently I was added to the Socialist Party of Alabama(U.S.) today...

      adadqgg

I never even knew there was one...

  22. You wrote "8.4 lipo"... Also, I highly recommend replacing the part that connects the bipod to the barrel, it is potmetal and will break by simply leaving your gun tilted on the bipod(as it happened many times to many people; including to myself at Operation EastWind IV).
  23. Short answer: no. Long answer: realsword's barrel quality is good, and it is tighter than 6.08(I do not have a precise enough caliper to measure exactly how tight, but probably around 6.04); I do not see a reason to change a barrel(most likely not going to get much increase in accuracy because Madbull barrel is tighter) unless your stock barrel is badly scratched. If you want better accuracy, try putting shims at where the hop-up arm is attached to the hop-up; I found quite a bit of possible side-by-side movement on that area. I shimmed it and saw noticeable increase in accuracy.
  24. After a year or so, Dboys AK's fps dropped considerably...both ones I had chronoed over 380 when new, now they are down to 350-ish and one of them had air nozzle's o-ring fall off so it shot at 200-ish... The finish on VFC is what is important. Also, VFC Aks-74 is on sale for $300 on airsplat in case anyone did not know. I did not like black plastic bushing on VFC, for the record; and I do plan to get at least a Guarder SP120 spring. With that said, I am still planning on getting VFC AK-74M later for a more modern impression. Also, VFC shoots about 40% faster than RealSword mode
