Sorry I should have mentioned that this was in a controlled test environment (indoor, yay!), and it was volley fire (I tried to make sure I kept the bursts at 10 bbs at the most). Honestly, I call BS. Twist barrels are known for being gimmicks in this part of the world. A well setup VSR would damn well outshoot any AEG, just by the very nature of the system. Add in an extra 150 FPS, the far better mechanical consistency and a whole slew of other things in a well setup VSR and ammo-for ammo the VSR would out shoot any AEG, any day, you cannot get around simple mechanical principals, a fixed nozzle and far more stable VSR hop-up produces a far better shot to shot consistency than the tappet-nozzle and TM M4 hop-up system. My M727, currently a WIP. I love my Old School as much as any of the magpul stuff I have, its nice to have a bit of both (though I could really go for a nice WW2 Enfield bolty, in gas. Make us one, powers that be!). Debating weather to add a '203 and Triangle CAR-15 Heatshield and Quadrant, or an Old School Aimpoint (whereabouts could I find one?) and SF classic light and whether to paint it or not (all I have is FDE PMAGs to feed it, unfortunately). Also, I am considering adding an MOE pistol grip, as I find the A2 grip faily uncomfortable and the MOE is perfect for my hands....

Get an H&K/Insight M2 UTL thingy, no adapter needed. Unfortunately I haven' the foggiest with regards to the threaded barrel.

Thats pretty awesome looking. Nice blaster. Unfortunately, my T1 has a mushy looking blob for a dot, but I don't really care, it still works more than well enough for airsoft. Now I just want a TR24G for my 16in rifle And I need to find my other rare VFC TTB I hate loosing things. I'll post up some pictures of the 16incher when I find the darn thing. Right now I am debating whether to slap my harris on it or not... decisions, decisions....

Thanks for the comments/compliments The T1 is an ACM one and the mount is Dytac, unfortunately (at least the T1 I got actually adjusts!). I'll get a real one someday, but ATM I want/am saving for a TR24G accupoint for my midlength SR15. Who is John Masen? I just found this buttpad in my spares bin, I think its a guarder or something. Maybe even a UTG.

The collection as it stands ATM. All three guns are WIPs. From top: Custom M727 (G&P externals for the most part, total mutt on the inside but upgraded with the good stuff) VFC based SR15 16" (VFC externals with Magpul USA and TD furniture, inside its got a Haynes box, RIOTSC gearset, etc, etc) VFC SR15 "Combat master" SBR (currently all VFC, but its getting a pro-win GB, and got some magpul goodies on the way, real EOTech 552 might or might not stay, I have a Dytac T1 in KAC mount to replace it)

The TRX would be pretty cool. And since this is a picture thread: VFC SR15 "Combat Master" SBR with EOTech 552 Early present to myself. Now I have both the SBR and the 16in version I love my SR15s.... Thinking about getting the cheaper G&P version, swapping the barrel for a 14.5 and sticking a '203 on it. Hmm....

Read this thread, it is definitely covered (has to do with removing the barrel with the hop-up turned on), though I cannot remember what the fix was (as I sold off my Masada for profit LOL. I prefer my VFC SR15s)

Or dipping it in acetone. I speak from first hand experience here, I've seen the results of a friend using some nailpolish remover (read: acetone) to remove the nasty paint.

Everyone I've talked to just used some Acetone/NP remover. I never got around to getting mine off.
