  1. all the police officers I've met (admittedly, mostly specials, not regulars) carry atleast 2 pens at all times. one for them to use, and atleast one cheap one to lend to people. the one that gets lent has to be replaced often, as people keep hold of them, throw them, "loose" them ect. so maybe a few more pens should be added.....
  2. There's one up on e-bay ATM. seller by the name of "kit-ka-boodle"* *I have no link to the seller.
  3. I think it depends on the version (not all forces use the same stuff) the devon and cornwall PAVA I saw a few weeks ago had a red trigger and red saftey cover (the main bulk of the top was black IRC). but seem to recall hampshire had all black tops on red cans (and grey on blue for the training versions) when I saw them
  4. I had a pair of the same boots, they did exactly the same thing. took them back to the shop, they replaced them, and it happened again (on top of a (british) mountian, in the snow.) sounds like it's definately a problem with that model then.
  5. I think I can guess whats wrong with them..........is it the side zips? do they keep spliting?
  6. I have a pair of them for every day wear (and I also run in them occasionaly) most comfortable trainers I've ever owned. my next pair of hiking boots may well be the boot version, unless my peter storm ones can be fixed.
  7. following on from ERT rifleman, I thought I would butcher a few classics, and create a few hybrid monstrosities. "modernised thompson" colt M2009 clockwise from top right: glock model .50 (glock + desert eagle), austrian eagle (desert eagle + glock), Heckler & Glock USP (glock and H&K USP), COCK M17 (COlt m1911, gloCK 17) I probably deserve to burn at the stake.
  8. I will point some things I discovered from annother forum, about the use of superglue as an alternative to sutures. 1) it was never intended as the best option for closing a wound, it was developed for battlefield use, when medics might not have time to apply sutures ect, before moving the casualty 2) it can cause burns. the bonding is a chemical reaction, which creates heat, and so it can cause burns around the wound, making things more complex hospitals only use glue when sutures are not going to be effective (for example they use glue on the scalp, where sutures don't really have e
  9. it looks like there is a slight gap where the sides meet the bottom of the grip, you might want to fill it with something (bit of epoxy maybe?) but past that it looks pretty good. certainly better than I could do. what are you thinking of using on the wood?
  10. far as I'm aware the two phrases are used to mean the same thing. I have been told how they work it out aswell, but I can't remember.
  11. I have seen re-breathers on sale from a scuba supply setup thats local to me. course they are pretty large (they do training too). you might want to try asking more experienced divers, or looking at places that supply the specialist mixed gas type diving gear.
  12. I doubt it. he can't have enough money to pay the soldiers after buying all that gear very nice collection LORD_SEX
  13. at the end of the review you mention that you are not sure how you fit the large back pouches on to the standard webbing yoke. If you take one of the side pockets from your bergan, you'll find it has several fastex clips on the back, both male and female. on the standard yoke there are two small loops either side of the grab handle. take the top two pairs of clips on the side pocket, put the female section under each of the loops, and clip in the male section. the centeral bottom clips form a larger, ajustable loop, which you, loop round the belt. a similar process is used wit
