Thanks... and how'd you know i had a Samsung? The color and depth just isn't as good with this camera. It does have some decent adjustability..probably as far as I want to go anyhow. I just don't think I could deal with DSLR.

Rom - it is very difficult to get the slide and frame fit that tight...period. It is especially difficult with a 6", much less..as you stated, with such short rails. This one is not rattle free. But I didn't really put any effort into it. I noticed that the frame doesn't even match up perfectly even (side to side) with the slide. The very thick heavy frame of the WA is not easy to move/tighten/adjust. This gun was a mix of parts - that Hybrid Barrel is from an SCW - I had spent all my time fitting that to the chamber and the slide. I also did not put much effort into lightening the tr

I don't think they are bad. Overall, I think they are quite nice. If WA stuck to one internal design and didn't cost so much I'd like them even better. And their inner barrel design is horrible. My biggest problem is with their mags. They can't handle propane for sh*t...I've got a problem with them spraying gas from the fill valve when filling them, they leak, and they blow out the gas feed lip. Doesn't always happen, but often enough that it makes me not want to shoot them. I never have problems like that with TM.

You can get it for less than $2000.00 from ProG4. That price is Sanko's crazy Japanese mark up. The wait is long, usually 3-4 months....usually not in stock and need to be custom made.

It's not mine...I just built it. I just finished mounting the AimPoint CompC SM and the Dawson Precision ICE Heavyweight HardChromed Magwell. The gun isn't quite finished yet, but it's close.

I love the Tiki, but I'm not diggin the controls and trigger. I'd prefer all steel. But I suppose the brass would make the guns overall weight more... so thats cool. Is this kit steel or aluminum?

Clockwork - is the mag release brass? Hard to tell from the pics but looks like the grip safety is brass too?

I actually built this gun to sell, easier than selling all little parts. The paint is holding up really well. It's definitely a combination of prep and the paint you use. I actually sanded the frame and degreased it. I did not sand the slide because it's media blasted aluminum, so it's the perfect finish for painting. I degreased that as well. The Rustoleum Professional Paint is definitely a better paint than any of the or spray paint's I've used. The finish is much harder. I did 3 coats with a hair dryer in between coats. I snapped some shots of a piece build. I have more than half a spare gun, and other unused parts..so I decided to build this. The slide and frame are painted with Rustoleum Professional High Performance Steel (colored) Enamel.

groquik - YES ProG4 CAN make you a limcat slide with turbo comp. I know someone who just had one made. See HERE FirFly0 - yes the Steel slide has a stronger/harder recoil and makes it more difficult to shoot - but more realistic. If you are building specifically for airsoft practical shooting competition and you don't care much about recoil - aluminum all the way. I built my Limited gun with a custom steel slide and aluminum frame to maximize recoil (experimentally) and it worked...but when gas is low and cools down (which happens quickly, ie 15-20 rounds), it feels pretty sluggish.

Finally got my extended mag release button for my Limited gun (same SHPD style as my Open Gun..only two toned).

LOL. I've spent the last year building them (more like waiting for them to be machined). I had spent a lot of money building a bunch of guns when I came to the realization that I could have 2 one-off custom guns for what it cost me to build all those same old guns. So I sold them all and waited forever to have these guns made. They took approx 5-6 months each.

2011's are still referred to as 1911's as well. STI coined "2011" to differentiate their two-piece modular 1911 based frame from the standard one piece 1911 frame. So, the only gun's that are really considered to be 2011's are STI, SVI, and SPS. Para builds 1911's. It's just a wide (double stacked grip) 1911 one piece frame. Para is not alone, Caspian makes a hi-capacity 1911 also.

Nice TigerCat Racer. I like the non-comp slide with FO and TM comp. Good use of parts. What inner barrel are you using?
