All I can say is ask a shop if they're willing to do it for you, or get someone you know thats experienced with that kind of thing to do it for you. I tried all manner of methods suggested and that I could think of. I have more tiny allen keys than I care to ever mention, or see again, many with supeerglued/araldited ends. Long story short, don't try and drill it out. I personally think your best bet is to source a new barrel and sell the old with the flash hider still on. Others may not think this is such a great idea but personally I think it's a whole lot less hassle than drilli

Thought i'd add some pics up of my CA Scar-L so far. Waiting on a few parts at the moment. Sorry for the low quality pics, i'm fresh out of batteries for my camera so i had to use my phone.

Someone posted in response with regard to the battery (I posted asking if grey was standard). FarEast had a pre-release/prototype level gun and that's why his battery was yellow with the funky wiring on the end cell. My R85 has no handguard wobble, semi issue & the magazine catchpin fell out, so it currently is held in place with a folded up and mashed into place paperclip until I can source another body pin from somewhere...

I'm aware of the dust cover fix, thanks for the headsup on the battery thing. As for the safety, believe me, i'm really really not being rough at all, i'll take it apart at a later date and see if I can work something out. I think I gave the wrong overall impressionbefore, i'm actually impressed with the gun's quality for its cost, with the only 'damning' issue being the singleshot/fullauto issue so far.

I thought i'd add to this post rather than make a new one... Just received my Army R85A1 today, initial impressions? Not overly impressed tbh... first thing i did was lift it out the box, before even remvoing the bit of plastic protecting the butt-stock, I saw the magazine catch and thought, ooo, pressed it and the pin holding it in fell out. Easily popped back in, if other features on the gun work just fine i'll just fix it in place myself. Secondly, there's the known dust cover not flipping down. Thirdly, the bolt on the handguard's thread either isn't long enough, or there n

Magpul PTS MIAD Grip and CRT Stock Review
ChasKi replied to FarEast's topic in Tactical Equipment and Accessories
Actually, I read the review and still managed to miss this bit of detail somehow *reads it again alla way through to catch it* Great review. I really like the 'breaking up' properties it has for the weapon, shame it doesn't come in british DPM too .
