Hi Folks,
time for another update on a little Airsoft project. As some of you might remember last time we saw the Ops Core Fast Helmet replica it looked a little like this:
Since then I've played a few games in it and come to love it, the only problem is that whist it does blend in, often it also stands out, mainly against the greens. It just ends up as a brown spot. With that in mind I recently purchased a nice Multicam helmet cover from the wibbly wobbly web, now im not normally a fan of covers but i must say this does look sweet. My only concern is, that like the MICH (that i will be selling soon) it loks like its missing something. I cant quite put my finger on it but just not sure what it needs. Any thoughts?

New foliage green ATACS. I've got the shirt 'n all, but it was raining hence the softshell. Really impressed with it so far, it's excellent for green areas.
just curious as to A - what the softshell is and B - what colour is it? my monitor struggles to differenciate between tans and greens at work (cos its )

Well folks the work has been completed and the pictures are finally here. Some time ago I started work on my MICH and bought a load of odds and sods for it as seen here:
As you can see this was origionally going to be a MICH with a marpat cover, however since I bought all these items I moved away from Marpat and over to Multicam so decided the cover wasnt really suitable. I decided then to spray the helmet and move to a patterned design.
In the end the parts used were the NVG mount, a set of Ops Core Rails, the surefire replica, an emerson chin strap and the velcro i ordered. The origional strap bought was flawed and unusable so i had to replace it.
Personally despite the bulk of the helmet compare to my FAST helmet i like the effect. There seems to be something missing and i would like to add some more bits to the helmet, I just cant put my finger on what to add though.
So there you have it, the completed (at least base completion) of the MICH 2000.
Any thoughts and comments on the helmet would be great. -
nothing special but thought id share

cool thanks

does anyone know if the suspension system from the fast helmets will actually fit in the older mich 2000s? i like the twist retention and hope it might be worth upgrading the mich to use it.
cheers

sprayed my FAST, today. Not sure if I like how it turned out
what did you use for the pattern on it? ive got a mich i wouldnt mind spraying

hi folks, bought a fast ops helmet and noticed it has a nice moulding lump on the top, did anyone else have this problem? if so di you just sand it down then stick the velcro on or just stick it on?
also with the goggle loops on the rail mounts how are you guys attaching the goggles? do you need to buy special straps or can the goggle straps be undone to slip on? looking at getting rails etc for my mich.
sorry for the noobish questions.

i recently ordered some bits and pieces for a belt kit which all turned up in a timely fashion. however when communicating with them about some more bits i wanted to order and if they were availbile and any plans for further black kit im still waiting and that was over three weeks ago
other then that a damn good site and value for money - the ricas compact works out at 200+ individually with the pouches or 114 as a set, superb value.

hi folks just managed to pic up a belt and added a few bits to it as per below:
i have double pistol pouch on the left, a warrior nsr mag pouch, then in the gap will be a foldable dump pouch, then a small utility pouch - i may replace this with a warrior small vertical pouch, whilst id lose the molle it would be smaller and possibly free up space for other gear or reduce weight. in the empty space i intend to get a warrior drop leg rig with pistol mag pouch and holster.
what i need though is suggestions in what i can add to the spare panel? i need to use the space for something useful as on light days i intend just to use this for a full load out. im thinking radio pouch (however depending on the replacement pouch for the rear panel i may be able to get the radio on there) and a single shingle pouch for a spare hicap mag (ill be running mids but its nice to have a back up) but not sure on other options or useful items to carry! any sugestions?
cheers

my other half says that some of that camo was at a surplus store we went to yesterday, lavenham army surplus in suffolk, ill be popping in there again a few weeks so ill see if they had the body armour and helmet covers and let you know.
dude, let me know too ive got a set but i keep that one all clean and not used (for geek purposes) but would love one to skirmish in, even just the vest for a loadout. i might have to pop off to lavenham and pick them up if they have, shame josh sold all his but i guess it doesnt quite work with the terrain at tudders

It's been a while since I last posted here. Here is my 1st line I wear with my CIRAS or chest rig and Low-vis plate carrier. It also can serve as a range belt if need be.
1st line is made of: Eagle duty belt, Eagle belt pad, x3 Eagle FB M9 pouches, Emdom dump, x2 Tactical Tailor triple M4 pouches, Pantac IFAK pouch, and Pantac flashbang pouch. My G19 is held by a Safariland 6280.
just curious in relation to the warrior small utility pouches how much bigger or smaller is the IFAK pouch?
cheers

Here are mine. I didn't put these into the US Spec Ops Helmets 'cos mine aren't really impressions nor do I know if Ops-Core are US Spec at the moment (seems limited to certain private & some govt organisations). They're a little plain now until I work out what and how I wanna dress 'em up. :-
anyone know where these are availible as replicas?
-
fair point, ill have to order a few at a time, i always like to carry 6 mags min if im using mids, though been anal thats always be carrying an even number and have an odd one mounted in the gun, dunno why just my OCD i think. lol. will have to get a few eventually
cheers for the heads up, though if you an recommend any sellers for them it would be appreciated
cheers again
