Finally got around to trying them on. Not too bad at all. We will just see how they fair when jumping between desert terrain and the Pacific Northwest.

I had a similar discussion with a friend of mine. Although the AK104 is the modern 7.62 shooter, it would take modification to the point where it would essentially no longer be recognizable as an AK104. Seeing as the kits that would do this kind of modification are labled as an AKS-47S kit, I chose to stick with that name. Either way, there are many things you could call it. AK104U custom could work. But since it's a frankengun, it doesn't matter to me too much. And the biggest reasoning behind going this complicated name giving route lies with the fact that I don't want to have to
-
Nope, gas tube, not the gas chamber. And There is no actual AKS-47S. It's often something made using kits like the Bulgarian ones. Although, there were prototypes of the AKS-74u chambered in 7.62 as well as 5.56. I prefer the idea of just a customized weapon to my liking. And no, the M83 rail can't be turned around without a painful amount of modification. Getting my real surefire M83 to fit onto a krink style AK was enough dremeling for me. Gunrunner, that is a gorgeous AK. Is that a real stock on it?

You either love it or hate it. AKS47S custom tactical. AK purists, avert your eyes now. It still needs a little more work like a gas tube and Noveske flash hider. But so far I'm pleased. ~J Tyler

I'm not even going to try and post in the AK thread. So be warned. All AK purists avert your eyes. AKS47S custom tactical (yes, AKS47S) ~J Tyler

Awesome. Also, is there a size difference between the length of the upper handguard piece and the length of a normal AK one? If so, what are the dimension differences? Thanks for the answers guys. Keep up the good work.

Does it have 14mm negative threads under the flash hider? Also, can you remove the pieces at either end of the upper fore grip (so the pieces that lock the upper fake wood piece into place)?

I got some better pictures of the KS Tactical K-armor: PM with questions.

It's to make it look a little more authentic when the "clip" is in your gear.
-
Yeah, it comes in OD and Tan. But, the tan is far too light. It's loosely based off of the crye precision armor. PM me for more info. ~J Tyler

Yeah, the reflex site actually isn't as high as you'd think. Also, I am going to try and replicate the Larue micro dot.

My latest toy. I finally kinda got sick of the armalite style so decided to go for an AK with a modern feel to it. Now all I need is some krylon.
