PTW with ARMS flip up rear, DD rail, aimpoint t1, magpul rail covers, surefire scoutlight, rampo FCC custom pmags and full tac internal revamp

AWS raptor based colt m4, can't remember what it was originally since it has been done up so many times since, but generally speaking everything in the thing is prometheus

Magpul stock, grip and vfg, ARMS flip up front and rear, ARMS 58CVmod rail, surefire C2 centurion on DD mount, VLTOR repro gas block, EOTech 512. Have just replaced the trigger guard and flash hider so she's now finished, will put up pics at some point :)

    Cheers

Nice rifles! I reckon the raptor build performs quite well, but I'm wondering how much of a difference it makes, compared to a standard aeg build.

Does it get your closer to the snappy action of the ptw? Which one do you rather play with? ;)

Thanks mate - the raptor is a real game-changer, furnishes a decent gearbox with (almost) responsiveness on semi of the systema. I tend to play at sites where semi is preferred so both of my rifles are built around that. Anther useful function is programmable burst which is what I have instead of auto on the little M4. My brother runs a systema revolution gearbox and the raptor is a short step behind that and the PTW.

Hmmm, I'd rather play with the systema at high fps or fibua - it's so consistent, has a much nicer trigger pull and superbly fast semi - but the little M4 has the advantage of high caps and a true 10.5 inch barrel with almost the same speed on semi. More of a woodland or pure cqb gun. I could maybe upload a video comparing the PTW, the revolution and a raptor gearbox at some point...?

    Cheers

Systema ptw modded by Tac with DD rail, magpul covers, surefire scoutlight, t1 and arms flip up rear and fcc custom pmags (what looks like tape on the vfg is heatshrink)

AWS Raptor based colt m4 with ARMS 58cv mod rail, eotech 512, arms flip up sights, vltor repro gas block, magpul stock, grip and vfg, surefire m2 centurion in dd mount

    :)

  4. Would completely agree with you Shriven - I ordered a pair of Oakley boots (£65, cheapest that I've found anywhere) and Oakley M frames from them and a parcel arrived the next working day. I payed using Paypal and was initially concerned that I hadn't received a receipt outlining what I had actually purchased, but following a brief phone call they sent an electronic receipt.

All I can say is that I would certainly use them again both because of their low prices, particularly in the Oakley range, and their excellent speed and communications related service.

  5. The stock's great, a really solid bit of kit. Feels much like the G&G M14 sturdiness. The gearbox is easy to put in - you need to install the supplied motor as the DMR stock requires a slight angle change in comparison to the stock M14. I'm not sure whether the G&G gearbox is entirely compatible, though.

    Cheers

  6. Ghostx3, you're totally wrong. And whoever told you that M4s can't shoot 'far enough' for the sight is a tit.

The RCO was designed specifically for the M16A4 and the M4 - the new TA44 was made to fit in the carry handle of the M4.

As for your 'fibre-optics', you mean the chevron. It's a light intensifier, not a glowstick. Alot of pics I've seen of the Army has guys using the TA01; the USMC have their own 'custom' ACOG, the TA31RCO (Rifle Combat Optic).

  8. Cheers bud. The gun's TOP so has the FN markings and all that. Inside, it's got a PGC gearbox and a 9.6 in the box mag wired to the trigger. The Mk 1 handguards are from a TOP Mk 1 model. As for the rail, it was designed and built by my brother. He'll probably do a run of them if there's enough interest.
