Yeah I reckon about 50% (maybe more) of the time when I pull the trigger after inserting my first mag and cocking the gun it doesn't fire. I've missed out on quite a few kills because of it, feels really stupid too!
I fix it by dropping the mag slightly, cocking again and reinserting the mag. I'd love to know why it does it though...

Yeah I need to ditch my NPAS and just fit a stock valve spring and KSC or DangerWerx valve, apart from that my entirely stock MP7 runs great.
-
Yeah I've never heard of that happening...probably more common in the US where temps are higher?
Steel bolt sounds like a bad idea - I've said it before and I'll say it now, I still reckon the best upgrade for this gun is no upgrade! (internally at least)

My friend (Krydel on here) bought a WE SCAR about a month ago, was out of stock in the UK so was ordered from Taiwan. It still came with a gen 1 mag, which obviously almost immediately began to leak and he's in the process of selling. I took it apart, it really is an awful design.
-
Keep us updated on how it lasts, I'm watching this one as a potential next pistol but I don't want it to die on propane.
-
Or if you abuse you weapons like me, you ripped the fore grip off your Mp7 with man strength and need to replace it.
I slipped and hit my foregrip on the ground, breaking a little bit off the body of the gun so the grip doesn't lock :/ I would just buy one of these rails if my friend hadn't grounded the gun really hard and split the body shell properly...
Spares are on the way though, can't wait to get it back out on the field this weekend! I'll post a pic when I have it all set up with a Doctor sight and torch, it looks awesome

My friend's just bought one of these, it appears to be a fantastic gun, really nicely made and fires with a hard kick and a loud report. Quick question: I know the SCAR shares its trigger mechanism with the M4 so you can't put it on safe unless it's cocked. But it would also appear that you can't put it an automatic either, and if you set it to auto, drop the hammer then switch to semi you can't switch back to auto. Is this normal?

So consistency can actually be decent with an o-ring fitted? Good to hear.
What is that link about? The translation's pretty awful, I can't work it out...

Extend the stock and put your arm up like you're a weight lifter. Humerus parallel to the ground and radius/ulna perpendicular.
Hold the pistol grip normally and the stock should tuck right into the crook of your arm perfectly. Is there a gap? Stock is too short. Are you not able to grasp the pistol grip normally? Stock is too long.
Side note, this does not take a plate carrier or soft armour into account. With either of those the stock needs to be shorter to give your normal reach.
How is this the case? I can just not quite hold the pistol grip normally in that position, but when I shoulder the gun normally the length still feels on the cramped side. I certainly wouldn't want it any shorter, it's pretty much perfect for a compact gun, maybe an extra inch would be comfortable.

Furniture is a temporary issue - we need to know how it shoots!

Well tell you what, don't clean it and see how long it keeps working.

though not sure the MP7 really needs any more power!!
lol that's what I thought when I saw it! But if they feed better then fair play.

Has anyone tried the Angry Gun magazines for the KWA MP7?
-
To increase rate of fire (and possibly reliability). Currently RoF is about 500 rpm, unusually for airsoft that's slower than real steel.
-
Yep, AK mags are 30 rounds. An error on WE's part, or catering to the people who complain about low mag capacity?
-
I always assumed that the WE magazine capacity of 30+2 is that, the mag takes 32 rounds total, but then has to be loaded with bolt/nozzle locked back, because it is "maxed out" and has no play in the spring. So, it would be recommended to only load 30 rounds, but it will take 32. Same with all guns really, don't load it so the spring can't flex 2 BB's up and down...
Ohhh I see, so you don't smash the bottom of the bolt when you put the mag in, right?
-
That recoil kit looks ace, who makes it?
Because some mags and the feedlip wont accept the 32nd round. I find this to be very annoying, If you dont insert with the bolt lock to the rear you can damage to the nozzle when the mag is overfilled (kinda like H&K MP5 where the mag cap is actually 32, however, people only load 30 because manual say so (31, 32 will jam)
I'm kinda confused now...when you say 30+1 isn't the one representing the fact that you can have a round chambered, plus the 30 in the mag? That's why I asked how +2 works...
-
Little bit of additional info, Redwolf claims the mag holds 50 rounds which seems odd for WE.
They are advertised for the usual 30 + 2 rounds.
Tested one of mine and sure enough 49 BB's loaded into the mag.
This potentially may be the cause of Pariah's neice's problem, constant overloading causing the spring to weaken and not push the pin stop up?
+2? Why 2?
-
Awesome! Live up to your expectations then?
Now I'm not sure if I want this or a G39...
Just to confirm, what happens if you select full auto and clamp the trigger down for the whole mag?

Order from fire-support recently, top notch as always. Flawless website, helpful staff and email comms when I requested next day delivery. Highly recommended!

Just plinkered with one today. Unfortunately the plastics are not up to par with the WE and the recoil is unsatisfactory compared to the WE. I only did an indoor test so can't speak for longer ranges but i wasn't very impressed considering that it was 50€ more expensive than the WE.
But at least now people have choice and more competition is always good! Can't comment on full auto ( it came from a German shop ) nor cooldown ( it's frakin 40ºC around here ).
Awww, ok performance is what I really want to know, but less recoil and worse plastic isn't a good start...
-
And i like how in the end, when in slow mo you can see a bit of plastic shooting out of the ejection port. Nice touch
not a good sign, hope it wasn't anything important...
Apart from that, that looks amazing. It's great that VFC have properly replicated the bolt catch, I really like that. If this performs as well as the WE, I know which one I'm getting.
I was going to ask why there's no full auto but then I realised the dude's German I hope there's a pictogram fire selector as well as the SEF version.

Don't you just love it when you put something together and have parts left over?

Failing that, a SERPA and a Dremel! That would be my choice if I pick one of these up, my only two reservations are whether or not it will break on propane and whether or not I like the look of the railed frame...
