  1. here is my AG36K in one of its many guises. the CA AG36 fitted to a CA36k. the only thing you MAY have to do for fitting is remove the flashider. however, as you can see, im using an SPR flashider, so i cant really comment on its fitting with a stock flashider. i had to cut out a couple of metal nubs that are at the front of the launcher to get the SPR hider through. the mods cant be seen when fitted though. however, i would be very surprised if you had to take anything apart to fit it. it should slip straight on. below is the same gun, with the same barrel length as you
  2. hate to say, but when i first saw the pic, before i read the review, the first thing i thought was "that wood looks ######". it actually looks like red plastic. my CAW M79's wood looks absolutely amazing. do you have a pic of what it used to look like ?
  3. i like this. how many rounds does it hold ? fires 3 at once yeah ? looks a bazillion times better in black with the full stock. are real wood parts expensive in the US ? i dont think the wood effect plastic looks that bad tbh, but it wont feel as good.
  4. Kye - all im saying is i can get a normal shaped 8.4v large battery, 3000 mah+ in my CA solid stock. if you read back through the thread though, people are saying one wont fit in the A&K stock. cafemondo - unfortunately i dont have the A&K minimi yet, its a possible swap deal i might go with, im just doing some work to find out my choices.
  5. because not only do i need cash, not only can i not carry 2 minimi's, but i have CA249, and dont want an A&K one. i just want the quickest and simplest solution to fix my ca one, and if the A&K gearbox is on par with the CA, theres my solution. im hoping the majority of the price corners were cut in the manufacture costs and external materials of the A&K. and that the insides are as good as CA.
  6. firstly - id consider buying a CA solid stock, as a large battery will fit in that. and looks hell of a lot obetter than a peq box secondly - will the A&K gearbox do a straight drop in for the CA gearbox ? i may get the opportunity to swap an A&K gearbox out for my CA one that needs re-wiring, possibly a new rigger switch. is it worth it ? i really cant be arsed to fix my CA gearbox, and i would then sell an A&K 249 with a non working ca gearbox. so i have one CA249 with a working A&K gearbox, and sell an A&k 249 with non-working CA gearbox, but with minimal work
  7. this is airsoft - you know full well cool is better than practical.
  8. yeah niether did i till my neighbour offered to sell it to me for pennies. they only made it for a couple of years, one of not very many in the country, especially in that condition. the cherry is the exhaust, its flared at the end, and most were nicked and put on standard fizzies cos they look better. thanks to ebay, and a measly 30 quid, i added an extra hundred odd quid to the value. i love it. better than the plastic peds these days, and sitting on it is quite a feeling. the mix of the tank, big handlebars and tank make it look mint, then the put-put-put and blue smoke reminds you what
  9. its a fizzy. FS1SE to be precise. 1982, restored by me from a pretty pathetic looking thing. same running gear as a normal fizzy, but looks like a (49cc) hog
  10. aahhh. i see what you did there. 3 hours sleep between the end of a night out, then work slows my brain. i will weigh my ca249 anyway, im interested to know the difference now.
  11. no no no, dont take it harshly. i was just adding some information. can only be good for people wanting to compare the 2, no ?? as i said, if i didnt already have a CA one, i would be a fool to not get this one, especially at UK prices for a CA one. as it is, i got my CA from HK, for only a hundred pounds or so more than the A&K one in this country. which again, cant be sniffed at. i would weigh my CA one for comparison, as i also use an elcan and the full size mag and large battery, but alas i broke it and its currently being fixed if i hadnt of fiddled with it, it would still b
  12. nice review. one thing worth considering though, is although you said you cant tell the difference by looking between this and the CA one (although i think CA ones have a black gasblock), is when you pick each one up, you can easily tell the difference. or at least i could. the CA is much heavier, and feels more like a big support gun to me. in a practical eorld, i suppose its better to run about with the lighter one (at least its not a plastic STAR one lol), but i prefer to know im carrying a big gun. saying that, if i didnt already have a CA, i dont think i would buy one over this, just
  13. 2 tickets for a gig that sold out twice before i knew it was even happening. and i only paid an extra 2 quid for each one than the actual price. get in.
  14. paulze - the normal bonnet looks nice, sleeker and more elegant. i say blend the arches, for the skirt blending reason. if the front end wasn't quite so extravagant, i might even like it !! spedz - that blue and white one you posted looks alright if you ask me. as long its used for racing. otherwise you;d look stupid in it. but that orange thing - holleee sheet. thats wrong. very wrong.
  15. indeed. there is a difference between bolting cack to your car that you got from halfrauds, or making it yourself, putting a huge engine in it, and using it. in that case, kudos, but i still think its ugly as sin
  16. not if you intend to use your fast car as a track day car. if i had the money to buy something that was properly wuick, id be at track days as much as i could afford to be. i certainly wouldnt be content with taking my lambo to tescos and back for the weekly shop each week. same with a 4x4. it may be cliched, but why bother if all you do is shopping and school runs ? again, i'd be thrashing around the countryside as much as possible, and i certainly wouldnt be in a bloody range rover. of course people can drive what they want, i just tend to look at things from a practical, not
  17. well, theres a point to ploughing money into a racing car if you're actually going to go racing in it. quite why people buy cars to use them not as they were intended to is beyond me. why buy a 400+ HP evo if all you do is drive to work and back each day ? but thats just my view on things. its probably wrong of me to thinkt his, but as soon as i see a car like that gold peugoet, with useless pieces of palstic bolted to it etc, my first though is "what a ######". the driver may be one of the mintest guys around, but to me, cars like that are things to point and laugh at.
  18. i could be really daming about the gold peugeot, or whats left of it, but i'll keep my mouth shut.
  19. that impreza is nice, but im not convinced about the spoiler. 99% of the time, big spoilers look ######, but the impreza needs one i think. thats a damn nice paintjob though. and good photos.
  20. CerberusCO - get a KV stock like mine on the last page. im using the KV specific battery, 8.4v 3300 mah i think it is, and i can still fold the stock and adjust the length. though i have lost the very shortest length due to the battery, but it doesnt bother me as i never used it. if you're not worried about foldng the stock, you can use any battery you want. its a top solution to the problem.
  21. heres me busting the AG36KV thingy lol. damn thing weighs a shitload. worth it though. more pics in the posing/ in game thread.
