  1. Elevated from King to God - that's some good going...

The A3SF will soon have the receiver painted green, and I've got an LLM01 on the way for it too, so it will look almost exactly like the one on the Steyr website.

Also, coming soon, will be a proper A3 receiver and foregrip rail, and an F88 Austeyr.

    Watch this space.

  2. Saying something is "so-called" implies that it's not that, but people call it that mistakenly. Whereas I'm given to understand that "H-Bar" is the designation given to that variant by Steyr themselves (as it's short for Heavy Barrel), which would make it a perfectly valid name.

You're, of course, free to use the designations given by any Armed Force which actually USES the AUG - indeed I would encourage it - but such codes are going to be less well known outside the countries/militaries concerned.

Leaving all that aside, though, your images were good - nice clean AUG configurations. Do you find the "issue" AUG sling any use? I find it only good for carrying the rifle, rather than being any good in combat, compared to a three-point sling, such as the British Army issue one.

  3. Since pretty much everything TM ever produced is made of "Marui's Monkey Metal" or Triple-M for short, I assume the AUG HC is no exception. I can't imagine that they'd have changed the internal barrel design, just made a new gas block and barrel for it. But I don't actually have one, so can't say for certain.

  4. You just pretty much said you've got a license to print money in the airsoft world....

The hard part would be getting the correct specs for things, though. Especially in the UK, most of the things we're talking about are illegal for private ownership and hideously expense otherwise. You could have some luck searching in America for someone with access to the parts or specs.

  5. Sorry about the dead links.

It doesn't really matter what length is pictured, so just get whatever length you want/like best/suits your style of play.

The standard lengths for the A1/A2 are in the FAQ thread.

If you were serious about having access to CNC machines and suchlike, you could do brisk business making airsoft parts, especially for hard to source items or weak parts like replacement pins for the AUG foregrip, rails to replace the foregrip with, metal cocking handles for the G36, steel cocking handle for the M249, etc, etc...

There's more than a few things on my wishlist, but unfortunately funds make getting any new items pretty much impossible for the foreseeable future.

Speak to Doc if you need more help or information about making custom parts and things like that. He knocked up a completely custom barrel, silencer and magazine adaptor for my AUG 9mm project, so he should be able to answer many of the questions you might have.
