  1. As Steve pointed out, "ikillpeople" is not exactly a nice domain name.

Furthermore, selling email addresses is commercial in nature, and the forum has strict rules regarding commercial posts.

If the above reasons weren't self-evident, I don't know what is.

In addition - we don't have time to be PMing everyone as to why their posts have been removed, it would double our workload. If it goes, it's gone for a good reason.

  2. Hey, I got banned for this shockingly out-of-order misdemeanour, so perhaps you're best off not being able to connect.

If there's one thing I can't stand about the internet it's the way it empowers losers.

Wow, and there's a mature response.

Why are people like Ghost_Rider so concerned about the VCRb, if that's their attitude towards newbies?

Newbies I have no problem with. Noobs who don't do their research and spam the channel get kicked.

Oh yeah, not to mention the fact that assembly is not manufacture anyway.

[23:50] <Ghost_Rider> go read the VCR bill forum, come back when you have a sensible contribution

If you read through the VCR section as you were advised, you would see that yes, as far as the law is concerned, assemnbling a 'kit' of parts IS classed as manufacture.

For the record, you were banned for repeatedly spamming a worthwhile debate with illegal suggestions. I've highlted them below for other users edification.

    [23:48] <repiV> its shipping parts

[23:48] <repiV> and if it is breaking the law i dont care anyway

    [23:49] <Sid> It'll be illegal to build a RIF

[23:49] <repiV> its only illegal if they find out

Edit: Thread cleaned of abuse and general asshattery. Warning points issued to both parties.

For the Record, the IRC channel is a separate entitity to the Forum, currently owned and operated by several users for the benefit of the community. Arnie links to it as a courtesy to promote cross pollination, but I have no power there and it was not my decision to kick him, but rather the Ops on duty.

Bitching about being kicked on here rarely does anything except make you look like a spoiled child.

  3. Their nice display items, I don't think their great for combat though due to size and power, there are more powerful weapons in airsoft that are lighter and smaller. Up to you though. I own one but mainly use it as a wallhanger.

Just for the record - what smaller GBB pistol do you know of that out-powers the deagle?

Cos I can't think of any......

  4. im sorry, perhaps if were being pedantic i should have said

    'smart contractors dont wear camo'

    or mebe even

    'contractors shouldnt be wearing camo'

But that fact remains if you wanna do an accurate one ... steer clear.. unless you wanna be shot  ;)

Except, as evidenced by the multitude of pictures.....a lot of real contractors do wear camo - perhaps not the same as the forces they fight alongside, but they wear camo nevertheless.

So you can't say wearing camo is 'innaccurate' - it's not, and we have the pics to prove it.

PMCs extend far beyond the percieved security guys. Most of those that work in and around US bases (i.e. a huge percentage of non-military in Iraq) will wear DCUs. Primarily doing so to blend in (i.e. so they look like any other person on base, a US soldier).

Where you might not want to be readily identifiable is working a PSD cruising around in Iraq. Wearing US camo makes you a target to insurgents (as does western dress and giant SUVs anyway), wearing any other camo means the Joe armed with the Mk.19 or 50cal you're rolling up behind at 120km/h could mistake you for an insurgent and blat you.

The Force Protection and Convoy guys have less of a need, one being a giant fixed target, the other being a giant moving target.

As evidenced by this photograph of a contractor wearing GROM trousers.

    Chris Neidrich, Blackwater Contractor, RIP

  5. desert fox... contractors dont wear camo

    ever

if they mixed up with real soldiers, bad things happen  :(

Dude, do you really want me to go through the PMC loadout thread and pick out a bunch of pictures of a Real life PMC's wearing camo?

FFS, there's even one of a guy in US desert cam with 'Contractor' over his pocket rather than US ARMY.

    feature.1.gif

It's reccomended that they not wear BDU, but some do anyway.

  6. If this warning isn't removed and this board supports his unacceptable behaviour I will leave this board IMMEDIATELY AND FOREVER!

    OH NOES! UNIMATRIX AM CLOSING!

Just to add my two-pennorth into this discussion:- Moderators are here for YOUR good, and we try and serve the best interests of the forum population. However, we don't get paid enough to deal with consistant agitation, either.

Unimatrix has proven track record for picking on the Armalite - look at his most recent post in the 'gun and car' thread for the latest in his great line of Armalite bashing wit.

TMC was PERFECTLY justified in giving you warning points as he did.

  7. Can someone help.

I posted a thread entitled ' DPM kit'

It's disappeared over the past few hours.

Have I done something wrong for it to be removed, or has there been a server error.  Can I post again or will it again be removed (if it was removed to start with).

I realise it was a whole page of 'sales', but it was posted with all information needed by any possible buyers.

All the kit belongs to me and I am not a trader.

I also posted info/provided a link for someone to have a look at a DPM smock as I couldn't provide a photo at the time due to a faulty digi camers.  Was this wrong?

Am I being paranoid, if so apologies.....but I would still like to know where my missing thread is :D

DC1 can i just ask something please?

Are you serving british military? RAF at some point im guessing Because a fair amount of the kit that you've sold on ASCUK forums is very...erm... squaddy like. BFA's, Cleaning kits a seemingly endless supply of respirator filters etc.

Not that it's a problem if it's kit that you've bought yourself, but if it has been issued, as this thread suggests

    http://www.airsoftcommunity.co.uk/forums/i...topic=53309&hl=

then surely you should hand it back in rather than sell it?

If it has been bought then fine, prove me wrong, but with 2 pages of sales topics on ASCUk selling some obscure items which would only squaddies would really have, i'm a little concerned.

    LJ

EDIT: annoyingly my link doesn't work. But i looked through all your topics on ASCUK and on the second page i came across one named "Issued kit." Which is now locked.

Good job Lance on spotting this.

We're not accussing you of anything, but if this is MOD kit, that means you're selling stolen property, which you can get done for, and the people you sold your kit to also recieved stolen property, which they can get done for. As you can see, the implications here are quite large. So if you'd please reply honestly, and somehow prove to me this isn't MOD property, it'd be much appreciated. I'm sure you can understand my concern.

As Above. We've had issues before where members suffered legal consequences over kit that had been 'misappropriated' and we would apprecaite additional proof that such a situation wouldn't arise again.

Paperworks a pain in the *albartroth*, you see. ;)
