Personally, I'm of the opinion that the reason CA made the gun take standard mags because they don't supply a box mag as standard.
Lets face it, if you've bought a 249, you're going to be using it with a box mag. Using a standard H16 STANAG just seems like a waste of potential.
I'm reserving judgement till these have seen more action, but I AM saving up for one of these. I've always believed that paying over the odds for a support weapon in airsoft was daft, and the STAR 249 allows me to have a support weapon in the armoury without breaking the bank.

I actually got offered the choice of having my last neg rep removed, and chose to leave it up.
Why? Because it's a number on the internet. Anyone who's worth listening to will know that it doesn't matter one jot.
Although, Big Boy still deserves eveythng he got. If beano was going to cheat somebody (which I personally don't think he'd ever do, incidently), you'd think he'd do it over the price of one of his collection of cutom guns, not over thirty quid.

Anyone getting a negative rep that is clearly retaliatory, should report it to the mods. Just a quick PM saying 'I neg repped him for X, Y, And Z' reasons.
Equally, if you believe you have neg-repped for a reason you don't understand or feel happy about, it might be worth PM-ing either the sender or a Mod for clarification.
The neg rep system can be abused by petty dweebs, but then, so can anything like it.

Given as the current 'report' button only sends an automatic PM to every mod, I can't see why it makes much difference.

Jebus, the resaon it's been discussed in there is because it's NOT official yet.

No, AFAIK it actually detects real motion.
It's not sensitve enough to detect through walls, but it can do someone in the same room, IIRC.

Take your point about the jamming issue (having had it happen to me when I decided to just take my m4 box into the field as it was too hot to be faffed with a vest), but the ammo limit thing?
