Do I need to remove the metal slide? How do I remove it?

Will this work on the gun? http://echo1usa.com/English/index.php?main...c3ff928e2a641b7 Also I found this video. Is it applicable? Thoughts, comments? He stops just short of removing the inner barrel. Does it just slide out of the "upper receiver" near the end of the video or is there more disassembly required? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVn2MIWPwFg...feature=related

    Faulty Searches

Ugh! Why is it working now?! Lol, I don't know what happened but thank you. I'm sure I was pressing a wrong button or somthing. I'll be using this forum a lot more now. I was trying to look up M14 breakdown instructions as well as thoughts on Li-Ion battery. I put in "gun" because I figured I'd get a few hits.
  4. Hi there. I have never been able to use the search button. Even if I do a search for "airsoft" or "gun" I still get nothing. I have tried searches on different computers with different web browsers and different search links. Any help on this issue would be very helpful. Thanks!

It was only the inner barrel that was coated in some weird green funky stuff. If the inner barrel is brass it may have even been tarnish. What ever it was it made the gun very inaccurate and jam up in single fire mode. I bought it from WGC. I'm looking to dismantle it enough to take the barrel out and really clean it... that and yesterday's dissasembly didn't go to hot (just one of those days ) so I will also need to take off the safety switch to replace it (suggestions on where to buy one are welcomed). It looks like I'll have to rethread the front retaining set screw too, the one right

My barrel came jammed with something that resembles cosmoline. Jams up, especially with this hop up on. Anyone have any detailed take down instructions?
