  1. Different reticles, if you mouse over the images you can see the dot only, or dot and ring. http://www.eotech-inc.com/product.php?id=3&cat=1 http://www.eotech-inc.com/product.php?id=4&cat=1
  2. I tried it that way but found I was happier reaching back farther with my weak hand, I'll try it again but I can be stubborn. Yep it still bugs me but I'll try it one more time in a game. I had a very strict upbringing and slings were only allowed for supported shooting. Of course we'd sneak out after dark with slings we'd "found" and loop them over the butt of a rile as a lark but you knew you didn't want to be seen doing that!
  3. For the battery, the adapter for the charger shows only a bit of the wire I gutted out. Battey goes in first and the connector and fuse go in after. For the gasblock/front sight just loosen the outer barrel or flash hider, straighten the block and re-tighten.
  4. It's a Hurricane, climbing the ladder one step at a time.
  5. & here it is attached to a Hurricane, just slips on and catches.
  6. Getting closer and my new "proper" flash hider is in the country!
  7. Well I haven't seen shots of a cracked real one but by an odd coincidence I also would up with the shot out clone that's mention in the thread on ASC. It it wrecked!
  8. There's a guy up here who makes them. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.ph...ighlight=eotech The hitch is that he does mostly real EOTech ones and doesn't make them for all of the clones since the dimemsions will vary slightly brand to brand.
  9. Checking the mail every day now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  10. There are a handful of folks around here who have bought the Star package just to get the ELGM to put on a VFC, they flip the Star rifle right after opening the box!
  11. I have the KSC USP Compact (used)with a Zeke slide and barrel in Aluminum. It's gas consumption has been equal to a stock TM Sig 226. The Tanaka USP (new) doesn't work, (single action sear won't engage, and the mag leaks) so I can't comment on the consumption. The Tanio Koba USP Tactical appears to have equal consumption to the KSC. All 3 strip the same, just as the real USP. All are different enough that parts like mags and slides will not exchange. The TK and Tanaka are both all plastic except for the outer barrel and threads on the TK. The Tanaka is definately the junke
  12. Yep I had it out a game last week and it's working great!

It's come back to life, can't wait for the weekend. The Doc's comment was There was an issue with the cut off lever switch and replaced it with a King Arms brand, Re-lubed and fixed the shimming.

  17. Here's a conversion to Deans plugs including "some" of the wire I gutted from the stock. The battery chunk I converted into a charger adapter and the other I put in the loose wire drawer. There was more wire cut out when I converted from the VFC pins to gold ones. I also added that little stretch of wire where the one pin was crimped right into the fuse box so there's not so much stress on that connection any more.

    VFC HK416

Thanks, I popped the mechbox right out and it seems to be the source of woe. The guy that sold it to me said he'll cover the Dr fees so all I have to do is wait.

    VFC HK416

When you pull the motor out and reconnect it spins. Step two is punching the pins out and seeing if the mechbox will turn over by hand I guess.

    VFC HK416

I had a used VFC 416 turn up in the mail last week. It has a G&P Crane stock with the battery wired to the rear. The battery appeared to be dead, and being in a very small town I had to send across the country for Deans connectors to wire it to the charger. That battery appears to be charged now, but when it is connected there is nothing, no click, no whirr, not a thing. It shows live on a tester and when hooked up to another gizmo that runs on 9V it provides power. I have more Deans on the way, so I can wire another battery up and in the meantime I don't want to start yanki
  21. Fold the stock, you'll see two 3mm hex bolts. Undo the lower one and the stock will seperate.
  22. SCAR with the the short barrel and optics now.
  23. 416 showed up at my door the other day.
