  1. I did look in your thread Hedge, but it doesn't come across in the simplest of terms for someone who has never taken apart an AUG before. The barrel lengths were there, but I didn't see anywhere where it said what the lengths for the upper and lower assemblies were.
  2. Just what I needed to know. Cheers dude.
  3. Silly me, asking an AUG question in a thread full of AUG users. What was I thinking?
  4. Quick couple of questions. Do the upper and lower come apart easy like on a P90? If so, what is the shortest length piece when this is done? I am looking to replace my P90 as my "rucksack gun" for days when I have to get to a skirmish on my motorbike. P90 mags are becoming a ball-ache.
  5. I assume you have a full length inner and can blow the *albartroth* of a fly from the other side of the field with it?
  6. Or received a kickback. If you want to keep your gun fairly individual, go green. Granted mine is an MOE equipped M4A1 with an EOTech, but its done in OD. On the field you hardly ever see green, and when you do, its usually FG. As said, brown is well common.
  7. The silencer is most likely anodised, which should be fine with acetone.
  8. Erm... I'm sure it does. In fact, I'm looking at the like button now.
  9. Just out of interest, because you have rifles that are 100% legit I have to ask. If you don't do impressions or authentic loadouts, what do you skirmish in? I'm by no means saying you should or shouldn't, I'm just wondering.
  10. Oooh, those will look ace.
  11. Very nice. I reckon paracord and tape on the mags instead of the Magpuls and you're just about there looks wise.
  12. Cheers dude, just needed confirmation.
  13. Not an awful lot to be honest. I'm just looking to get confirmation before reporting it to Ebay.
  14. Got a couple of queries for someone who has a genuine Magpul MSA. I got one from a store on Ebay, and it came in a small ziplock bag with a Magpul PTS sticker on it. Also, it appears to be painted, and it's not magnetic. This leads me to believe it's not nitrocarburised steel as the Magpul website says. Did Magpul release a PTS version of it to a lower spec? I cannot find mention of one. I am going to give the guy an angry email if it is not as described.
  15. Tied tight, and a spot of superglue on mine so it doesn't come off. (I'm not too confident in my knots )
  16. Don't dishwash it. I have a cup with no glaze left on it from dishwashing. And more relevant, an aluminium piece from my espresso machine got put through the dishwasher and its stripped the finish off that too.
  17. Those are Magpul XTM rail covers. You often see them in the AR15 thread looking a bit "patchwork camo" where people have mixed up different colours.
  18. Well I know it isn't. But if someone looked at it and thought it was all one piece (like I assume WL-Matt did), then it certainly looks more chest rig than it does belt kit.
  19. Looks like one with the armour you have displayed under it though.
  20. Cheers for the heads up. I did think about getting a metal receiver for it (the plastic one was well cheap), but have decided to just run it till it breaks then maybe get a AK74SU metal side folder type receiver set.
  21. Yeah. 550 Paracord in desert camouflage. It's a bit shiny if I'm honest, but I'm sure it'll get better once it's roughed up and a bit grubby.
  22. With and without silencer. I might paint the silencer when I get some more paint for my other mags, it looks a bit bling as it is.
  23. Cheers guys. I'll get a picture of it up at some point tomorrow provided it isn't pissing it down and I can get a decent bit of light.
  24. I got a Cyma AK47 tactical a few months ago, just been mucking about with it and looked down the barrel with a flashlight in the magwell and it appears to have a 2 pronged hop rubber. Is this normal now? Also, I stuck a SAW grip on it, and there is a wire thing on the bottom of it. What is that actually for?
