  1. I'm sure it is called Bravo Two Zero, Frog. Otherwise you're not in the wrong. I must say, such a kit makes me quite jealous. As I have always been a fan of simple belt-line kits that are all about practicality, or at least as practical as the design and technology of the time allowed it to be. Good job, keep it up and good luck.
  2. Crye Combat pants are designed to be worn rather high compared to what most pants are designed for these days. The preferred way to wear them would be at the navel or just under it, however, many people have trouble getting used to that since nearly all modern pants are designed to be worn at the middle of the hip or sometimes lower.
  3. What's up with those MagPuls?
  4. Perhaps a split front UW so you can easily don and doff the rig with a hydration carrier? That sounds like a mighty fine idea to me.
  5. Hey Binary, why do you have the buckle on the right shoulder of your CPC if you are primarily a right handed shooter? I would like to see more close up pics of how you have your CPC set up. Looks like it is a very effective set up. I like it, good job!
  6. I have a set of replica Multicams in the combat cut just like DragonRed advertises, though mine is bought from another website. They should all be the same no matter what website, especially since they used the same pictures. If Crye made their product like the replicas then I would be disappointed if I got the real ones, however, I do not see the replicas falling apart so quickly. They will hold up very well, which I can testify to as I have worn them for regular skirmishing, as well as a pretty gruesome ATV crash that broke my pectoral girdle(so it was quite a crash!). Through all this
  7. Yes, but you will still have to adjust the sling to fit your body(like any sling) so that you can get a comfortable length of adjustability via the quick adjust feature.
  8. MALICE clips will keep everything secure no matter if you use MOLLE, ALICE or a mix of both. They can be a pain to thread into MOLLE but they will not move after they are locked in, same with ALICE.
  9. Robinio: It's all about the way you shoot. I used to carry only 4 mags, and that was enough, now I tend to carry a total of 6 just because I'd rather have a little more. Some days I will barely shoot through a whole mag, and yet I do come into contact with the opposing force and "kill" some of them. I use midcaps that I load to about 90 BBs. Some people like spraying, others like to only shoot when they are absolutely sure of getting a hit.
  10. There are many brands that offer pouches to fit into the cummerbund flaps of their respective plate carriers. Of course, some of these will fit into other plate carriers besides their own brand. Mayflower, LBT, and DBT are just a few that make this type of pouch. I'm sure that you can find other brands. I must say, the homemade one in the pictures does look very good. It was probably a much cheaper addition rather than the actual brand name pouch, while serving the exact same purpose. Nicely done!
  11. They fit, it's doable, but the cap will stick out some and the flap of the pouch might be difficult to close. I've seen it done before, though I do not own a 1961 myself.
  12. Since the dummy plates are modelled after real SAPI Medium plates(or large) and the LBT6094A is designed for medium and large plates, they will fit. Although the fit is pretty tight with mediums, I'm fairly sure that a large plate could fit in the carrier as it should with a real plate. I'm using the plastic hollow shell plates in my LBT6094A.
  13. What I believe that FrogFish means by his post is that both LBT and Pantac have very high quality products. LBT still offers a variety products in 1000D Cordura. More importantly, the difference in 500D and 1000D does not alter the quality as vastly as your post makes it sound like. The most important points in a gear design according to quality is the stitching of the fabrics in which LBT does a fantastic job with, in my experience. Pantac also has very well stitched gear. Of course the fabric used does count in the overall quality of a specific piece of gear, however, it does not weigh as h
  14. Looks like a Paraclete SOHPC in MultiCam.
  15. Both Pantac and Flyye are from China, as well as TMC. TMC seems to be of good enough quality to airsoft with. Of course, you will see a difference in quality in their products when compared to Pantac or Flyye, or any "real name" brand. Their quality is lower, but should absolutely be acceptable for airsoft use. I do believe that TMC does make a replica of the MAP. Pantac and Flyye both make accurate replicas, as well as a number of other companies that may or may not have their little twists to the design.
  16. The Flyye 6094 is more accurate if you want a more accurate version of LBT's later 6094's, however, it is not a replica of the current design. It is a replica of the previous design, this is easily shown by the metal push buttons on the cummerbund flap on Flyye's. Older LBT6094's had this feature but has since gotten rid of that. Flyye also uses Velcro over the chest whilst still allowing the PALS to be used whereas the Pantac only offers PALS with no Velcro. From the looks of the advertisement pictures I have seen on various websites, only Flyye sells theirs with shoulder pads included. E
  17. Since 50 ounces equates to near exactly 1.5L then you should be fine, as long as the shape of the pouch matches with the shape of the bladder that you are using.
  18. The size looks like it is perfect for you. I'd advice you to tighten up the shoulders to make the plate sit higher, just like Piano pointed out. Looks good, makes me jealous!
  19. The FROG doesn't have pockets for knee/elbow pads? My MCCUU's do, so I would expect the FROG to have them as well. Though I must say, the pockets are fairly well hidden as they can only be accessed from the inside of the uniform.
  20. That looks like an LBT-6094a in AOR1. It can either be a real LBT that will go for a good deal of money unless you've got some generous connections or it is a Ferro copy which is still in real AOR1. However, there has been reports about Ferro not selling/sowing more AOR1 gear, though I am not up to date about that kind of information. Hope that helps. EDIT: After checking Ferros blog I found that you have to contact him with an order and he can either confirm or deny that order by what is available. That said, it is not clear whether he has any AOR1 material not sown up into p
  21. The real counterpart is the Eagle Industries CIRAS-Land. I would not use it if I went off to Afghanistan. I'm not doubting the 1000D Cordura, but I am doubting the stitching. I've handled and owned a few of the cheaper Chinese replica gears and have to say that the accuracy in cuts and stitching is very bad even if the general materials are good. However, there are other companies such as Flyye and Pantac that I would trust my life with, those replicas are very well made all in all. For airsoft though, I can do with replica gear since I'm using the gear once a week instead of every day for
  22. Now that's strange and cool! Very nice gun and unique how you made an L7 instead of the much more popular FNMAG, which most people would make it into. Even though you are a Brit, I was surprised that you went that route. Very cool, this makes me want one really bad, but I would get a wood stock still, that's just me though.
