  1. Talking to William at AirsoftBuddy, he believes WETTI will release the same open bolt system used in the new PDW as an upgrade to the existing M4/16 platform. No official word from WETTI though, or a release date, so could just be a rumor at this point, who knows...
  2. Sorry if I confused by saying 'trigger pack parts', I meant these made by RA Tech: http://www.ratech.com.tw/store/product.php?id_product=388 http://www.ratech.com.tw/store/product.php?id_product=386
  3. Yup, renegade I'm pretty sure you are correct on it being the small piece of part #66 that is broken off. I won't be able to verify for sure until I strip the lower receiver down this week. I've got the replacements trigger pack parts on order from RA-Tech right now. Thanks for everyone's help in troubleshooting this. I'm really hoping I can get my WE M4 stable, and be able to go beyond 500 rounds without a problem. Ugh. On that note, has anyone heard anything yet on the KWA GBBR's?
  4. ^^^^^^ It's not a problem with this part, my stock part is flawless, nothing broken off of it. What else could it be?
  5. YES! And it appears to be broken off of something... or is that not true? YES!!! Ok, thanks! I'll take a look at this. Is there a replacement for it somewhere?
  6. Yep, thanks El Cactus. I'm somewhat familiar with the Wiki, but somehow missed that takedown page. Also, I see the trigger pack takedown is missing. The Wiki almost looks like it was abandoned and hasn't been updated in a while. Man, that sux. All that work just to get the trigger pack out? Also, I found a little piece of shiny metal broken off from somewhere in the trigger assembly. Could this be a piece of part #66, and thus the reason my striker won't retract properly? If it is broken (won't know until I takedown everything), what would you guys suggest as a viable replacement?
  7. Thanks. What's the quickest way to get the trigger cage out? What pins do I need to remove? Just trying to avoid 'trial and error' removing unnecessary pins to get it out.
  8. Have another issue myself. I apologize ahead of time if this was answered previously in this thread. I was testing my WE M4 last night, still having some issues with the bolt assembly and nozzle. Anyway, I started getting the issue where you pull the trigger, and all you hear is a single "click". No gas release. The striker pin is all the way in the forward position, and will not retract. Therefore it is too high and will not hit the strike gas release pin on the magazine. Everything else looks ok. What is causing this? How do I fix? I can't seem to figure it out.
  9. Yeah, what a complete noo.... oh wait, you guys are talking about me. (Let's keep the pointless pile on posts to a minimum, shall we? After working on guns for 3 years now, I'm not a complete idiot) Anywho, I'm gonna try some dry teflon lube and see if that fixes the problem. There's definitely some issues with wet lube, even a thin amount of lithium grease. Trust me, I have completely field stripped, cleaned, and lightly relubed the bolt assembly several times, and it is still having sticking issues. I think the TSC uni-directional guide rod might be out of spec alignment. Also, it doesn
  10. Thanks Pariah, I'll give that a try. Yeah the bolt is cold to the touch. I have tried a couple of greases because I was getting some sticking issues in the brass cylinder (silicone spray, gear grease, cylinder grease, etc.) but never considered that the lubricant could actually freeze like that at room temp.
  11. Well, let's put it this way then.... Before shooting: bolt assembly moves back and forth freely and easily if pushed by hand, not much resistance on the nozzle. After shooting 3 mags on semi: gun starts to slow down it's cycle to a crawl. I immediately open the receiver and check the bolt assembly. The bolt assembly does NOT move back and forth freely if pushed by hand, much resistance around the outside of the nozzle, outer o-ring on the nozzle is sort of 'frozen looking', and both the outside of the bolt, nozzle, and the brass cylinder have frozen condensation on them. The bolt is re
  12. Ok, I've been working with my WE M4 v3 getting it ready for an Op, but have been struggling with a few issues: 1) The cooldown effect is causing the bolt assembly to slow to a crawl. I suspect that it is the brass cylinder that is shrinking due to the cold, and causing the friction. This is in 70 degree Fahrenheit weather. No matter what type of lube I've tried in the brass piston cylinder, after about 3 mags (just semi, not even full auto) the bolt assembly starts to get too much friction going. I'm using strictly propane with the stock steel nozzle. Any thoughts? 2) I have used the T
  13. Hey, has anyone tried the RA-TECH Super Recoil Buffer Kit in their WE M4? http://en.ratech.com.tw/product/rag/rag-std/rag_std.php
  14. No not at all, thanks for pointing out my mis-info. I did mean to say 'cast' aluminum but missed typing it.
  15. Yep, just caught that. They were WE M4 CQBRs. Damn. Well, there goes my WE M16A3 I was thinking about getting one day. Thank goodness I got my WE M4 through customs last year. It truly is ridiculous. Even if you did the modification, the WE Receivers are anodized aluminum and would never withstand the pressures of the 5.56 ammo. btw Renegade, are you still selling custom parts for the WE M4?
