As an example, I was charged $80 for essentially welding to peices of steel tube together and to and fro shipping. Regardless, we have Colt rollmarks on the AFC. That's a step in a good direction.

Consider the price of custom engraving a receiver, along with shipping, and the trouble of convincing whoever you are getting to engrave your receiver that your airsoft lower is not an actual firearm. Now consider the magwell hole issue, which I've never heard of occuring in a WA or a real lower. From this I conclude that it may not be worth the trouble, and hence I ask for updates regarding aftermarket parts from anyone who knew anything. Where are the aftermarket parts? Does anyone have any news on any development? I somehow think engraving the stock body is a bit north of not worth it, particularly since WE is keen on not fixing that cosmetic defect in the magwell.

Looks great man. Really wish there were some rollmarks on the receiver though. That's about the only thing preventing me from getting one now.

I agree, 3vi1-D4n seems to have been more adventurous with the WE than most of the other new owners. If you'd like to write a tear down guide or a quick fix guide, that would be very informative.

I somewhat agree. I take what AirsoftBuddy reported as WE saying "we know it's a problem, but since it doesn't affect functionality, we're not going to fix it." I honestly can't wait until some aftermarket replacement kits come out with rollmarks, and are of similar quality to the WA pieces.

No I see what you are saying, I'd still prefer if it weren't cracked. I don't think this is a commonly encountered or tolerated problem on real AR15s, and I haven't ever seen anything like it on AEGs.

Where's this info from? Someone just posted that the steel bolt stops are still at the factory. Yeah its probably closer to a cm than an inch.

Describe the forward assist issue? What do you mean it pops out, and when is super glue used? The idea is great, but the implementation so so: seems like a lot of stuff just falls apart on arrival with the WE. The aftermarket really needs to develop. It's strange that the IB is not coaxial with the outer. Is this due to the IB flexing? The outer barrel not clamped tight enough? I'm having a tough time imagining this problem, and why switching to a shorter barrel would alleviate the issue if they aren't coaxial to begin with.

All true, except by aftermarket I meant mostly external improvements. It certainly can't hurt to have the option of a 20" barrel, or a lower that actually has rollmarks.

So let me tally the problems encountered by people who bought the retail version of the WE. - Leaky mags right out of the box that fix themselves with use (Lupus' case), are fixed with moderate application of silicon oil (Jin's case), or cannot be fixed (acem4's case). - Cracked rear upper receiver tab right out of the box (cocofr69's case). - Broken bolt catch after 500 rnds fired (Jin's case). - Loose valves on magazine after 500 rnds and repeated dropping onto carpetted surface (Jin's case, reparable). Depending on the arrival of aftermarket parts, installing a longer barrel should be no harder than doing it to your old AEG. As for performance, I can't say anything since I have no experience. I really hope WE sells the peices, or at least sells spare uppers to facilitate upper-swapping. If the FPS-adjustment peices are sold as well, it'll be easy to use one lower for both longer range and CQB, which would truly be my ideal setup.

I hope someone picks this up and makes aftermarket stuff. Given that WE will take care of the bolt stop, I hope add-ons, particularly receivers, barrels (inner and outer) will start showing up. Airsoft Buddy: Any word on the selling of uppers and lower seperate, or selling parts kits for the WE? I would hate to purchase on and simply swap out half the parts.
