  1. Tightening them, because they were leaking. Not forcing it or anything, they're easy to turn for a quarter-turn or so, then you can feel it give, meaning the head has snapped off - just made of *suitcase* metal. I've had hornbill valves in the past and the metal they're made out of was fine.
  2. Two of my fill valves have lost their head now, I ordered 4 replacements from RSOV (Hornbill 7mm inlet valves), they cost about £2 each. Irritating, but there you go. I had exactly the same problem with WE 1911 magazines in the past.
  3. Airsoft world in the UK have them.
  4. I'm getting a bit light headed from all this propane now, I just spent a good 20 retarded seconds trying to put an 8mm BB into the magazine . Unfortunately the window is sealed shut for the winter, so I think I'm going to have stop firing it now - despite the fun I'm having. One fill of gas gets me around 140 shots (so just short of 5 mags, 4 magazines comfortably), at around 20°C with propane, mixed single shots, rapid single shots and full auto bursts (including a very fun 15rd burst ). G&P Eotech is holding up to the recoil fine. Deadly accurate, easy to put 2-4 rapid shots int
  5. Just got mine. Filled up a mag and got shooting, ran out of gas before BBs. Put a bit more gas in and listened for leaks, quite a big one from the fill valve. Started tightening the fill valve, was quite loose before the head of the fill valve sheared off, and gas spewed everywhere. Not the first time this has happened with WE fill valves, *bramston pickle* things. Need to get me a replacement. Anyway, kicks hard and is solidly built. Looking forward to taking it skirmishing I'll test it more thoroughly when I've got more BBs, and the snow has cleared up. The sticker just peels of
  6. Definitely metal, posting on the other forum now
  7. Bomber make both steel and aluminium bolt carriers: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=26087 http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=27383 You'll probably not want the steel one, if you go back a few pages in this thread there are pictures of why. I don't see why the stock aluminium(?) bolt carrier won't hold up, mine is fine after ~30k, so it probably isn't necessary unless you're having problems with your stock BC.
  8. I'll add the following: KWA MP7 (NS2/Sys7) (with broken NPAS installed) KSC USP Tactical Sys7, stock with metal slide KSC USP Sys7 w/ Shooters Design Slide and OB KSC USP Compact Sys7, stock with metal slide Testing done with propane and assorted .2g ammo. I have no chrono so this is chiefly a test of gas efficiency of system 7 in cold weather. Guns and magazines were left outside in the snow for a couple of hours, away from direct sunlight. Magazines were filled indoors before being left outside. Temperature outside hovering around freezing, car thermometer indicates 1°C. Shots fi
  9. Should be universal, the NPAS designed for the MP7 is compatible with all other s7 (and NS2) handguns. If it's still available the NPAS on its own can be had for $15 from ratech's website.
  10. Switching to the previous skin I get the View New Content where it usually is, it doesn't work though (nor any other search), the screen just remains blank.
  11. Just ordered mine from ehobby, £275 with four extra mags. Absolutely can't wait. How many shots are you all getting per fill of gas?
  12. You can ask elite shooting centre, last I asked he was awaiting delivery. I think I spotted some on fire support but they may have been for a different model (although it should still be compatible).
  13. Guess what I just ordered It's out: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=29609 came to about £85 shipped with a bag of .4g 8mm BBs. Not bad. Not going to be getting the WE G39 for a while now, but I've been waiting so long I had to have it. I sold the M629. For the life of me, I can't remember why - stupid kruck. At least I've got something to replace it with now I'll start a new review for the M36 when it arrives
  14. Or (mass of magazine after filling with gas) - (mass of empty magazine)/number of shots fired from gas fill = average mass of gas used per shot. I'd give it a go, but I don't have any precise scales available. Also, the USP also kicks very hard, and has a metal slide
  15. I don't find the gas efficiency of the five seven to be very good. The only reason you get so many shots per fill is because of the huge size of the magazines (i.e. it still uses a lot of gas per shot). I usually get 60-80 shots per fill Compared to my S7 USP, which has a smaller mag, I can get up to 150 shots off of 1 fill of propane (yes really, I repeated the test several times, 1 fill of gas left to heat to room temperature, mixed rate of fire, reloading BBs as fast as I could between magazines and not heating the magazine between BB refills, got 110-150 shots per fill). So long st
  16. Elite shooting centre, £265 + £45 spare mag, includes 1yr warranty with green gas
  17. Get a set off ebay, can't remember what the size is though. Might be 0.9mm or 0.7mm.
  18. This is now next on my list, comes close to £400 shipped to UK with 4 spare mags though. Also the installation process for the RATECH NPAS looks rather involved, you need to permanently modify something. Has anyone got/installed one on their M14 and can say how it is? My only previous experience with RATECH is their dreadful MP7 NPAS which soon broke. It was, however, a drop in fit.
  19. Cause of the bolt jams discovered. The four little screws on the bolt, sometimes would come loose and jam against the rails, solution was just to rack the bolt till it came free. Making sure they're in tight, add a little loctite if needed and it's all sorted. Just waiting for some more propane to arrive and I'll do some thorough testing, make sure I don't need a(nother) new hop rubber. Can't wait to skirmish this again, it has been far too long (I've had to use AEGs three times in woodland!! ). I have a little headcam footage of my last skirmish with it in woodland, camera stops recording
  20. Not x cartridge version though I'm still waiting..
  21. Turns out I ordered the wrong size. The stock screw is M4x10, I ordered a load of now useless M3x16. Ah well, I received the M4x16 today and that has resolved that issue. Unfortunately it has started misfeeding again. Time for a new hop up rubber methinks, at least I'll be able to take it apart this time...
  22. Presumably I ordered 20x m3x16 countersunk screws on ebay, should do the trick Anyone want the other 19
  23. I "plink" a lot, constantly "testing" it (I think I fired about 2k just zeroing the eotech, then another 1k zeroing the 2nd eotech) when I change BB weight its another 4-500 setting the hop, another few hundred at the site to check etc. etc. Then fire a lot on the range at games (sometimes me usually others having a go with it), and it has been skirmished quite a lot (usually less than 500 fired per skirmish though, last skirmish someone else used it probably approached 7-800 in that game alone). I don't really count just observe the number of bags/bottles of BBs I go through And t
  24. The big screw that holds the piston-cup-holder-thingy that is on the back of the bolt, appears to have the end snapped/sheared off inside the piston-cup-holder-thingy (I say appears, the end of the screw is mashed up and it no longer reaches deep enough into the back of the bolt to hold the piston-cup-holder-thingy in place). Which would be why, despite my best efforts, the piston-cup-holder-thingy keeps on coming loose within the loading nozzle, causing bolt jams (oddly enough, performance seems unaffected, although that might be because it always comes loose as soon as I fire the '7 afte
