  1. Cheers Good news, the make-shift-cloth-soaking appears to have had some effect, single shot seems 80% ish, FA not working correctly. I might just be able to do this for a few more days, and hope it has a greater affect over time. At least it shoots, which is better than 24hrs ago Beats taking it apart again anyway
  2. Tried as hard as I could to get that pin out. I actually lost the hop up spring, I fished it out carefully, put it with all the other little dissassembled bits I had on the desk, then it had dissappered when I came to reassemble it. I chopped the spring that was replaced by the spring in the NPAS kit from the nozzle whatever, and used that, all seems to work but it is a complete mystery where the original spring went. I'll give it one more try tonight, failing that it's off to someone who knows what they are doing to sort. I tried getting the pin out in both directions, when eac
  3. Yea, it appeared to be back together properly, so I just reassembled it, and it all worked fine (apart from the hop rubber problem still). A bunch of the pins holding various springs in place on the underside had come out while I was trying to get that *fruitcage* barrel pin out, and everything had gone everywhere, probably just pot luck that it all went back together as I had no clue as to how it should. I'm living in North Yorkshire, but many thanks for the offer I've emailed ESC and AA regarding them replacing the rubber, no luck as yet (mike is away for a couple of weeks accordi
  4. I think it's back together properly, I'd love to make sure though before it all goes back together. There isn't a chance in hell I'm opening this up again. Couldn't get that barrel pin out so I just soaked a bit of cloth in acetone stuff and jammed it into the hop chamber. *fruitcage* it.
  5. *fruitcage* cock A load of stuff fell out while I was trying to get that barrel bolt thingy out. argh anyone provide a picture/diagram of how the opposite side of the "chassis" (to the picture posted above) should look, and the bottom?
  6. Excellent thankyou feldjager, needless to say that's not how I put the spring back in. Cheers for the diagram too panteratigris
  7. Thanks, that link helped explain the problem. Now, when trying to take it apart down to the barrel, I got stuck. I took out the trigger, fire selector, bolt catch etc. and pulled the whole lot out...then got stuck, didn't know what to do so I unscrewed the screw (the one with the brass washer type device holding down a spring) except I didn't know there was a spring there, it popped out and I didn't know which way to put it back in, so I fudged it, put it all back together and now the bolt locks back every shot. So could someone tell me/show me in what orientation that spring is supp
  8. Skirmished this today: Full auto double feeds, well more than double feeds, sometimes nothing would come out of the end for a burst, turn the barrel downwards, a handful of BBs would fall out. Emptied an entire magazine on full auto, 2 shots came out of the end together, the rest all fell out when I upturned the barrel. This also happened on single shot but less frequently, 2-3 occurrences per mag every now and then. I skirmished it for the morning like this, decided it needed a good clean out, cleaned did so at lunch (instead of eating ) and still no luck. Gave it a rest and
  9. Got 10 000 .28g, doubt I'll be buying .3g especially for this. If it doesn't work I'll just live with it, the extra range isn't of great importance in CQB in any case, and still excellent range for woodland.
  10. I got an NPAS and two spare mags on the way from eliteshootingcentre (last two - sorry!). 45 GBP apiece, cheaper than importing the KSC JV mags from HK, not quite as cheap as a bulk order of TW mags would have been, but no where had them in stock anyway. Mp7 is brilliant fun to shoot, used up a 3/4 full can of propane on it in 2 days of plinking (I have now run out, waiting for delivery of 8 more cans ), few things to note: When I was plinking indoors, at about 8m I used up the last of my .2g BBs (I think they were AIM, not sure though). Didn't like them a great deal on full auto (f
  11. I just ordered KWA MP7 from ehobby Apart from WGCshop, where can I get the NPAS from?
  12. I figure this may be the place to ask. I've just ordered a WA Series 80 SCW3 Magna Tech (This will probably mean more to you lot than to me - serious noob with WA handguns), and I'm not sure whether or not I want a metal kit for it. I read the Cold weather comparison thread, which listed the magna tech as a good contender for cold weather skirmishing (also ordered a KSC P226 system 7 - which should also be a good winter choice), basically my question is should I bother upgrading, or is the UK climate not worth considering upgrading to full metal based on the average summer temperatur
  13. Any chance of an update from anyone who has had this a while? How's it holding up? Any notable problems? Cheers
  14. Just a brief update: The battery conked out after 8-9 skirmishes, replaced thm (less than 2 quid), the reticule is even brighter, and it has lasted quite a while so far with no sign of running out - looks like the standard battery ain't bad but could be improved.
  15. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...5&hl=combat I've had a couple of small items off of them, fast delivery, recommended.
  16. If you have two mags in a pouch that holds three (for example) and no dividers, they rattle (whereas they don't with three). If you have two mags in a pouch that holds three with dividers, they don't rattle (tried and tested). That said, I sacraficed the lack of rattling and chopped mine out anyway
  17. Picture of the damage to the mag I am talking about. I have no idea what has caused this, there are no rough edges/burrs/seam lines anywhere that could have ripped it up, I can only thing it is some kind of defect (although it was absolutely fine when I got it..strangely enough). Is this tear likely to cause any significant (or insignificant) power loss? Either way, I'll get it chronoed again on sunday with this damaged mags and (hopefully) with the 3x spare mags I ordered see if it has made any difference.
  18. First thing I did I have noticed that the rubber part on top of the magazine, where the gas is released, is chewed up a bit at the front, I'm thinking that perhaps this is letting a little gas escape. More worrying is how it is getting chewed up - it was fine when I got it. I'll look into that, and I'll see how the power is when the additional magazines arrive, see if that is the cause.
  19. It chronoed at 208fps with .25g BBs at a little under 20°, pretty good considering the size, but the mag was being a bit funny so I suspect that figure may be a little lower than it should be, I'll chrono it again next skirmish time.
  20. That might work, but if I did that I would have to do that to all my mags (I have another three in the post - 11$ each is too cheap hehe). I was thinking the reverse, shaving down a bit of the thing that the follower pushes on...
  21. I'll keep this as simple as possible... Ordered it from RSOV, with sub-1kg shipping it cost £34 and arrived exactly 7 days after I paid. I'll just do a list of pros and cons, I'll chuck in some pictures at the end: Good Heavy, especially for its size. Great kick, cycles fast with good action. Power appears very good, although I have no way of measuring it, at roughly 20°C with green gas. I'll get it chronoed when I can. Grips don't look like plastic. Gas efficiency is good, off one fill I fired about 30rds before the power noticeably dropped, then 32rds and it ran o
  22. I believe it improves consistency shot to shot. I have a question though; with CO2 in it, and the adjustable NPAS thing, is it possible to reduce FPS to UK power levels?
  23. Firstly, a bit about the seller. I brought it from the ebay store airsoft eagle, for the measly sum of around about £22 including shipping and insurance. They quoted the shipping time as 7-14 days. I received it 4 days after I placed my order, excellent retailer! (Here is the item, if you want to look). Bolted it straight onto my rail, fits perfectly with no wobble. It is very robust (those white marks aren't scratches, I'm not sure what it is but it rubbed off). It takes 2xLR44 batteries in the other end of the brightness adjustment tube. The brightness is adjustable with the dia
  24. Does the red dot and the laser have their own separate batteries, or do they both run off the main battery, if that makes any sense? Nice review - few wasted words!
  25. I think I know what you mean, Click on the options button at the top right of the thread, then select standard - should sort it.
