Oh!.. You are absolutely correct on the latter. Both the AEG and GL barrel were cut down to the rail. I wanted the suppressor to sit rather flush with the rail and the Madbull 2 piece barrels with a compound saw ended up being great for this.

Not mine but those of you that dont surf ARFCom are missing a real diamond in the rough... New Keymod rail! Everyone *knew* they looked like shelves but seeing it really makes it great!

Got my +2 and some better springs across the board. Really (surprisingly so) impressed with everything else in the WE.

That extension is this only thing on the WWW that I have seen to give the +2s scale! I am amazed they are not documented anywhere despite being popular!

Those +2 extensions look a lot larger on the gun than in the retail photos. That said, the G is awesome!

Random musing... Geissele. Guy-Sell or Jih-Zell? Actually pronounced by their SHOT employees "Guys-Lee" - not even in my list of guesses. Mkay back to work.

@Leon I was in a similar predicament as you a few months ago - I do my best to make sure parts really fit together. I dont know details about your budget or resources but plan C is ~$40 and 10-60 minutes of work depending on your tools. IMHO given the level of personal detail in your AEG, this could be right up your alley. That or Im just nuts. Anywho... Get an appropriately sized Madbull Daniel Defense barrel, sold by other retailers simply as Madbull adjustable barrels, that is made up of two parts. The first part is the portion that goes into the upper receiver and is held in place by the barrel nut. The second portion is the 90% of the barrel that fits in the former and is held by *very* tight tolerances and a set screw. The beauty of this is you can cut up to 4" off the barrel (varies by barrel) at the receiver end making any marks invisible after the barrel is re-assembled. You even have about 8mm of play in there to make some conservative cuts. Its an easy process if you have a compound saw or band saw. Probably going more towards the 60 minute estimate if you go at it with a handsaw or dremmel. TL;DR: Pick the rail that suits you and your play style better, get a barrel that is one size bigger, then chop it the *fruitcage* back down. Pics after appeasing my CDO: Toodles

I owned a real one for approximately two weeks. Im pretty sure if I went to an airsoft event in that time, I would have a black eye in the first hour That said, Im tempted to try a totally legit Chinese version! Also, beautiful blaster! Kinda goes without saying nowadays. ETA - Before anyone jumps on me, I know military personnel have used the ACOG successfully for many years! Its totally me. Accupoint is a better fit and personally an all around better optic! Though it may not take a bullet...

I like that better than buy once cry once! Well since today is so lively and Ive mostly been posting , heres a little something I drew up a month or so ago. Its a response to my receiver extensions that are a pain the *albatross* to install given one needs a long screw driver and needs the screw inside to align with the spring guide AND has to manage a wire inside the tube without destroying or otherwise pinching it. Then the LiPo has to share the tube with said wire leaving the connectors dangling out the back. In a nutshell, its a QD receiver extension that allows for quick insertion of a LiPo battery, secure LiPo placement, wire protection and hopefully quick access to a PCB that shows the voltage when the outer tube is removed. The otherwise decorative castle nut serves as the lock in the QD mechanism. Just food for thought! I really wish I had a mill
