  1. Hey guys! I appreciate the kind remarks. Its been a good time. Ex is right - I did go overboard on the photos. I mentioned it in the post but it got censored To that end, my interest in these pic threads has never been to see who has what. Rather, Im interested in what has been done and, if its something more than slapping parts on, if its preceise, how. For me, the devil is in the details and I love details - especially when careful thought has gone into them. Anyone else use these threads for inspiration when picking a part or a direction? That said, my intention of showing the gearbox
  2. Purrrdy! My AR is done being fiddled with internally. It was a G&G GR16 five years and many hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars ago. Nothing original remains! M130 Modify Smooth torque gears Aluminum piston with steel teeth Lonex piston head with sorbo Lonex standard motor (not speed or torque) Microswitch that came with the gearbox - love it! Click click bang bang! Madbull hop. REAPS bucking (better than every other one I tried) Madbull TBB Overall, it shoots 400-405 fps at 15rps which is the same ROF as a real M4. The noise is exact
  3. Thats just lovely. Between the mix of Magpul parts in the right places, that thin forearm, the Accupoint, and the black-brown Ikea table... Perfect in my book! Do you use that on a one point?
  4. Sorry for the wait guys. The city Im in doesnt allow airguns unless theyre part of a carnival. My elephant is on its way from eHobby but it may still be a bit. These are the real steel Magpul speedplates on the Glock magazines. I took these on my phone but you should be able to see the modifications I made to them. A lot of the flash is from wear but one of the nine plates got a little too warm and has a rough texture. Beyond that, they work great! They only needed to shrink approx 1mm to stay on coming out of pouches.
  5. They surely do. I couldnt find the PTS plates so I went out and bought a few RS. They mount the same way and just needed a heat gun shrink of 2-3% or so.
  6. Also remember people in airsoft tend to get cheap optics that arent shock proof, water proof, ANZI rated, etc. Basically things that have a nasty habit of breaking the moment they eat *suitcase*. Or optics that use other styles of illumination which end up chewing up the battery. Plus we get shot regularly, if you actually play. IMHO airsoft seems like a prime shooting activity for backup iron sights.
  7. The OTG holsters look like a winner for me! Ill be ordering for a KSC G19 and KSC G18C both with GTL21 lights. Its good to know they can accommodate airsoft spec parts, too. Im diggin around their site now - may have to call to see what they can do about having one on a drop leg unit. Cheers!
  8. I have a pic request here guys... Can you share your holsters? Due to the Glock shape being the same across versions (give or take a lil in the slide length and grip length) it seems they are pretty cross compatible. I would love to see what holsters you all are using. I have a SERPA but am looking for an alternative for use an a drop leg. While I do like the serpa, Im not a fan of the $150 price tag given Ill want to get two (my kit and my loaner). Cheers
  9. According to the rumor mill, the F2000 is designed for magazines that match the STANAG spec. The Magpul PMAG is not STANAG. However, the EMAG (export mag) is *supposed* to work in STANAG spec weapons like the L85 and F2000 etc. I have seen photos of the G&G F2000s with EMAGs in them so, unless they are purely for show, those should do the trick. ^mostly speculation.
  10. Thanks bud. Both Ivan and I are using Gear Sector hardware with Tango Down rail covers. In my case, I got replica covers with the intention of cutting them (removing the recoil rail insert) and then sandwiching them between two GS units. In my photo, you can see I put the short cover section by the torch on backwards. Getting a few extra covers and then cutting them up offers some good freedom to make things work. I have every real brand of rail cover at this point sans LT's and so far this system is easily my favorite given how much you can tailor it to your needs. Cheers!
  11. Im glad to see that Gear Sector (ish) parts are rising in popularity compared to other lesser yet significantly more popular alternatives. Thats an awesome build. I revisited my torch set up since my last post... Ended up rejuvenating a Surefire M4 Devastator I had laying around that never got used due to its size. The folks at CPF had a lot of info on what one can do with it. Sufficed to say, my two Surefires arent going to be on the sidelines due to incandescent bulbs. Got a TNVC LED bezel and a Surefire XM06 & ST06 for it. Supposed to be 150mins @ 600lumens. Beats 25mins @ 350 lume
  12. Hey guys! You're absolutely right about the torch. At this point, I have all but removed it. In four years of having a torch on my AEG, its only useful purpose for me has been to illuminate the paths to the fields. It was always on the opposite side at which point it only ever got in my way. I can't strobe it the way it is and I'm not terribly interested in a tape switch, but it works fine as a headlight At some point I may invest in a real solution but of my couple flashlights and mounts, nothing has made me happy. Anyone have any experience with a QD light mount that isn't bulky? S
  13. Hey guys... been sitting on this one for a while. Externals are done pending a few more xtm panels and better torch placement. Waiting on a reinforced gearbox to polish off the internals. Hopefully ready to go by the end of this month! Started as a G&G GR16 five years ago. Only stock part left is the metal body tho that won't be the case next week. Runs off a rear wired lipo. The photos and this post were done with my phone! Please excuse any duck ups. Cheers!
  14. Thats beautiful. Really got my eye on that PEQ!
  15. Just email TAG and ask them to do it. Otherwise they will use a lot of Coyote Brown webbing. Other companies do the CB webbing too, though. It would seem if you like consistency across your gear, either prep to pay more for custom webbing or just be happy with some CB. Whoops forgot I was tabbed and this was a couple pages back.
  16. Clicked this thread on accident. Now I really want one! Also, the effect on that photo is a little over the top but holy ###### it looks amazing. Props!
  17. One thing off the top of my head... Is there any way to make the notification links go to the thread of the quote rather than the person that quoted?
  18. Oh yeah look at that lol yours is way forward! I was actually about to buy the LT mount and offset mount this weekend but I really want the RMR to be QD. ADM has a QD mount for it, now I just need rails on the scopes! There are a couple options but none that I really like. Ill let you know how it works out!
  19. Its a TR24 like yours I believe. Amber though, not red. Same mount to boot. ADM Recon something something. An amber Trijicon RMR is inbound so I sent ADM an email asking them if they can make a part for me! Figure, if they like it, they can make a product and if not Ill pay someone else to do it. Hoping I can toss the RMR on top when I want or use it on an MP5 for P90 other times.

WIP. M203 can be swapped with the bottom rail with a VFG. Thinking about getting a Vltor bipod. Not totally sure yet!
  21. Already purchased one! Thanks for the lead mate eta: there look to be aftermarket stocks for the SCAR. with slight modification Im sure I can make one work. That said, can anyone speak for their quality?
