  1. Hey guys, I wrote this up for someone asking me about the Echo 1 SCAR H and I thought I might as well post it here if anyone else is looking. If anyone has leads on a better stock, please let me know!
  2. Pro-tip: Twist it more. I just got one of those
  3. Thats me. I took off the short bit. Actually it was on the orange flash suppressor so tightly that removing the orange took the extension off too. I get a new flash suppressor and sound suppressor tomorrow (today) so Ill be switching it again. Nice haha. Looks purdy!
  4. Its not there for the cool guy points haha its there because I have it for my paper punchers and Id rather get my monies worth out of it. Before, I had a Leupold VX3 which was overkill for my ARs and useless for airsoft so this fits both roles. Stuff breaks and Ive done my research so on the off chance a BB does make it into the lens, itll cost me about $35 plus one way shipping to get the lens replaced and the scope purged! Ive been so happy with the VFC EGLM. It does its job very well. Mounts securely. Doesnt seem to strained while firing. Plus it looks good to boot. I like your setu
  5. EGLM and M203 here to use up Madbull C02 shells. M203 is a steal on Redwolf (at least it was a bit ago) at $100. IMHO the G&P has amazed me as far as Chinese bang for the buck goes.
  6. Went simple this time around. Thats awfully relative given how my last Stoner was completely custom. This is one of my extra GR16s with some external goodies on it. Shoots too well for me to tamper with it internally. Cheers guys
  7. Loving all the SCARs guys! Grabbed some photos now that mine is all working again! Echo 1 MK17 with a madbull 6.01 since the stock barrel wasnt accurate after 20-30 feet.
  8. From what I have read and seen in photos, they are. I can tell you from experience in a week!
  9. Correct. Its a 12" POF rail on a GG&G upper receiver. The middle one, however, varies. The only difference between the parts on the AR15 and AEG are the KNS pins. Between the builds, there is no other way to differentiate them (short of seeing whats in the mags). This is the AEG with parts transferred over: Ive since replaced the knockoff 553 with a real 551. Acessories aside, the only real tell is the KNS pins and the third safety position. And even still Ive seen people glue them on the AEG Its a Patriot Ordinance Factory Predator System. The large inner di
  10. The light is a Surefire G2 with a red filter on the front. Good combo for like $60. The mount is an Gear Sector FDE G2 Mount. Puts it in a real nice spot - just a hair farther from the rail than the Vltor. I like how its significantly more simple though. The profile of the mount is designed to match the Tango Down rails exactly. The Magpul XTMs and XTs are a near identical fit, too. Basically, the rail adapters and mounts from GS are designed to integrate seamlessly into your rail covers which is especially nice for the QD sling sockets. Given the large diameter of the POF rai
  11. What about a more low profile mount? Yours looks like it sticks the light out at least half an inch. Both the Vltor Scout Mount and Gear Sector mount keep the light below the rail with a negative offset.
  12. My favorite of my last four favorites! Those came from sixty-some others.
  13. Hey guys. Its been a while. Havent gone airsofting in at least two months now that my AEG is really FUBARed. Thought Id share some of the latest photos I took for some people here. I currently have everything on my AR and do not want to strip it all down and move to my AEG for a photo! Pretty much the same setup as last time though Ive replaced the Asian torch with another Surefire. A mix and match on the rail covers has yielded additional comfort as well as consistency. I'd recommend the cover setup to anyone running large diameter rail systems. The only Asian part now is the magnif
  14. Its funny. I didnt try and I like these photos soooo much better than above. FML. To the point, though! The EOtechs use a cross bolt design. They ship with one that has a hex head as well as a larger one that can be tightened with the dull side of a knife. The first photo shows the two options. I believe the knockoffs only come with the larger of the two. They screw into a neat little piece on the bottom. Basically, one quarter of a turn of the screw will take the EO from being rock solid to being able to just fall off the rail. Great for quick changes. I can get a side by side of the L3O
  15. Still dont like the photos. Oh well. Someday. Gotta stop doing these at night.
  16. Kinda like how the blood and mud dried!
  17. Thought Id snap a few photos of my muddy/bloody Glock before I cleaned it. Basically ran out of go-juice for the primary so I ended up running through mud/gravel and taking more than a few spills.
  18. Changed it up a bit since I last posted here. Gave the scope to someone with something that shoots a bit farther! Replaced it with a real EO 551. Also replaced the hop up with an all metal one given mine seemed to be failing. Ive actually called it quits with new parts! I call that a win in and of itself! Haha. Cheers.
  19. Just meant that I found holding the camera was fine enough for exposures of .25 seconds or less. When I would go above that, photos became noticeably blurry. Im not sure, but I think you might have read aperture when I previousily wrote exposure In any case, the amount of time, regardless of what aperture someone is shooting at, will be what necessitates the use of a tripod. Basically, Im a little confused as to how your addition, give that my assumption two sentences prior is incorrect, pertains to what you quoted me saying.
  20. Finally put my AEG's AR parts back on an one of my real ARs - this time on an upper and lower I just finished up. Damn shame I cant swap over the suppressor, though! The Bomber Airsoft rubber rail guards are too comfortable to replace with my Magpul parts. That, and my buddy's King Arms Troy Battlesight replicas are nicer than my real Troys so they're still on there, too! Hopefully this week Ill be able to replace my Leupy replica with a real one to finish this off, but the irons are good enough (and Im not too shabby with them) such that I can hit a 10" target consistently at 100 yards (prett
  21. Both the same Glock But the process between the two was pretty different. The first one started as a good photo, the second (red one) started as a crappy attempt at showcasing my AEG which ended up getting all but cropped out. I wish I hadn't deleted the originals (were on thumb drives) such that I could show you what they started as, but I can tell ya that they were not quick edits. When I get creative, I can edit ###### into something rather cool - sometimes. Here is an example of an edit I made for someone else showing what I would have done (per request): Original: F
  22. Got another dark one. Hopefully not too dark. So ends my day of photography - two decent photos and one that is... well... yeah.
  23. Hopefully its not too dark on most monitors. I was struggling to find a good photo of my AEG today. Kinda like it.
  24. Black Glock on black background made for an inviting 9mm bullet shot. Wish this wouldn't bump the thread though since I already put this in the Glock topic. ETA:
