  1. A noticable difference... welllllll

Put it this way, Im buying another RS within the next month, just for the fact that all my other guns, even my previos G&P MK18 feel like ###### compared to the RS, its got weight, quality, no wobbles (bar the stock, but even the real ones do, so I can live with that) and its built so well!

  2. My expanding 1911 collection, will get a better picture if/when it stops raining and the sun comes out to play

    2 metal Army Detonics

    2 black plastic Army Detonics

    1 silver plastic Army Detonics

    1 metal Army MEU

    1 metal Tercel 1911a1

  3. The first version of this pistol I custom built using a Marui 4.3 pistol but have now finally completed it as per the real steel type with a single stack magazine.

    Parts list:

TM 1911A1 frame plus internals, outer barrel(customized), barrel bushing(customized) and recoil spring plug(customized).

TM 4.3 Slide(customized), slide internals and inner barrel etc, slide stop(customized), thumb safety(customized) and hammer.

TM 5.1 foresight vane and trigger.

TM MEU grip safety and magazine(customized).

Hand made custom wood grips in Mahogany.

    WANT!

That is one hell of a cool gun, I loved the way my 4.3 slide looked on my 1911 and with it all rounded off it looks AWESOME

    Absolutely love it! awesome work!

  4. Just placed another order, soon going to have a new MEU and 2x black metal detonics (army have just released them :D) and a silver plastic detonics to go with my 2 black plastic detonics :D

  5. My Army's safety wouldnt work from the right and was a bit weird on the left. Seems common.

4 Little questions for Marui/Army MEU & Detonics owners:

    1) Will the MEU trigger work on the Detonics? And viceversa? Not to sure on this one, will test it and let you know tomorrow

    2) Will the MEU hammer work on the Detonics? And viceversa? Not to sure on this one, will test it and let you know tomorrow

    3) Can I cut down 1911 full-size grips and drill a new lower hole to fit on a Detonics? Yes, just take your time, ive done teh same with a clipdraw and will be buying full size grips for my full frame and detonics

    4) Will a PDI (or other brand) silencer adapter for Marui 1911 work on a Detonics? Not tried it, but I cant see why not, and its something I intend on trying :P

If the answer to all those questions is yes, Ive got an awesome little proyect coming up!

    THANKS!!!

Hope that is of some help to you!

  6. Nice Python.

A qestion, how many of you skirmish your revolvers?

I'd also like to know, always been a fan of revolvers but the 2 ive owned werent really skirmishable (tanaka snub nose (was slightly borked tho), KWC 6" python)

  7. Most UK retailers that stocked anything decent, seem to have flocked towards the cheapsoft market, shame, as its a pain ordering custom parts from HK/US

Oh yeah, especially when its just a few small items and then you get bummed by customs :(

  8. Rockdog... I love you.......r guns :P

Where do you buy all your 1911 custom parts from? really want to order some nice parts (beavertail, nice hammer, nice trigger etc) soon but no idea where to get them from!

  9. How does that Tercel shoot and are there any spare mags for it at all? It seems like a good deal

Shoots REALLY nice, its easily comparable to a TM! It is a 100% TM clone, the mags are TM compatible, I bought 4x bell 720 mags, and theyre TM compatible aswell :P works flawlessly! plus the tercel/tm/bell 720 mags fit in the detonics aswell!

Nice clip-draw. They certainly come in handy.

Actually, nice guns and nice pictures as well.

I love the clipdraws, really good quality and work really well, also makes the gun look a bit nicer. Cheers for the compliments aswell :D

It comes in handy most when you gotta tuck it into your pants real quick and don't want to worry about it riding too high or falling through and onto the floor. works great on the side or front/back of the waistline. Not to mention pretty discreet, especially on say a smaller 1911.

Full frame 1911 unless tucked inside the trouser is relatively discreet, the detonics 1911 barely peeks past the belt lower! its completely epic!

Now I just need to work out how to carry my mags, probably end up with buying another set of fobus holsters.

  10. My 1911's, want to get another 1911a1 to polish right up :D

1911a1 is a Tercel 1911, full metal, fully TM compatible, lovely feel to it, feels on-par with my gaurder kitted TM

The clip-draw'd Detonics has a real clipdraw (modified to fit a detonics) and the hornbill RSOV wood grips

The other detonics is a bogo standard Army Detonics

  11. not a hope with 600. that would only be a starting paper and you'll gradually work up to 2000 or higher. then buff with a metal polish. :)

You'd be suprised what a machine polisher can save :P it wont be perfect but you'll get a good shine with it, but will take alot longer than if you got it to 1500 or 2000 grit

P.s. metal polish is ######, use a metal compound, will cut thru it far quicker, for final polishing use a metal polish, motorbike polishes are good generally

  12. How often do you have to re-polish that Stealth?

Once in a blue moon! use motorbike metal polish and it protects it, I used it for 3 skirmishes and it was just as shiny, then sold it.

And one more question, If I had used... say 600 sandpaper, can I still polish it and make it look that good like your glock?

yes, but you will then want to flat it all down with 1200/1500, then polish it.

I did my glock slide in college in half an hour, that was from painted to shine, and I didnt have any decent sand paper there (one grade of emery cloth, lovely) if you use nitromors you can get the paint off hten polish it straight up, so consider that!

  13. Polishing a 1911 isnt hard, thats if he polished it.

To polish a 1911, sand the paint off, get busy with the polish, or, the best way, use desk/pedestal mounted machine polisher.

To chrome a 1911, send it to an electroplaters, they remove the paint, polish the living bejeebus out of it (chromes very thin, any imperfections show) then either brass dip then chromium plate it or they may just chromium plate if off the bat.

Ok, its not a 1911 but heres a glock I polished w/ machine polisher:

  14. The whole world disagrees with you. http://www.internetslang.com/CBA.asp

Not even the unpopular ones on urban dictionary think you're right. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=CBA

In case anyone was wondering how well the extractor fix works, it does wonders. My friend installed it on his m1100 revision. It was barely noticeable, and instantly started ejecting properly again.

Except when reaver then bought it and stripped it he managed to somehow break 90% of the parts in the gun! leaving me with a shell of a revision!

  15. Rebuilding my airsoft collection after selling it all off a few months ago:

    gunwall1.jpg

waiting for my MP5 and 1911a1 to arrive to fill the middle.

Then when I finish college and go full-time i'll build a new gunboard somewhere in my room for all the sexy weapons :P

  16. sorry, but they really dont.

they dont feel as 'real' as the likes of a G&P, which is in turn feel no where near as good a real mag.

however as said before, unless you can afford to convert RS shells (might be worth looking into CA 70 rounders for the internals, G&P/VFC etc are junk) MAG are certainly the way to go. i'm not slagging them off at all, but saying they feel real is simply not true (as with any airsoft AK mag i've used).

Its not THAT expensive to convert RS shells, i got 6 AK mags for like £10 with mag pouches (which is what I actually wanted) but obv it gets more expensive when youve got to buy the internals for them, but still, to then have mags that dont feel like ###### is win :D
