  1. There are alot of un written rules in regt. Ive seen alot of different gear but being lower enlisted you arent allowed to get away with some of the things that the seniors do. Then we have our own secret squirrels units which do whatever they want. By right though it makes sense when you get to the level that these guys are you dont need someone to hand you somthing and tell you use this, you know what works and what doesnt. Most people come from certain areas in the army so if you think about it all the gear you associate with 508th maint is really some way or form related to other special operations units. Its not just only and army dishwashing unit remember anyone service wide can get into those jobs. There is no standard issue, just guide lines to whats nessacary. Things change fast....very very fast and you get mixtures of gear but cause everyone doesnt get the new stuff. ciras, rbav mbav(eagle pc w c) and rbss we have it all in some way shape or form. Some times different colours to.

  2. Suriously where do you guys come up with this? No they are not more common....I have seen just as many in black as FDE...FDE is not the end all honestly it isn't.

Let me know if you figure it out...lol

common delta kit's cookie cutter seal kits some even say they know the SOP's its great to be enthusiastic but were is the LOA

  3. Uh, im going to say no. solely based off the type of jump wings he is wearing on his chest. I would assume those are iraqi jump wings. Im not sure how their uniform regulations are but if it is anything like ours you can wear patchs from joint operations on your right sleeve without being apart of that actual unit. There is female somewere in the army running around with a ranger scroll on, just because she was attached to the regiment on a deployment. besides he a lil clean shaven to be sf in threater.

  4. It depends on your command mostly if you can wear it in garrison or not. Its normally looked at as a field only item. They look dumb to me i dont know why anyone would want to wear it...a style thing maybe?

  5. Dont concern yourself with Asymetric group they arent what you guys should be trying to model yourself after. As far as what is and what isnt being used, you cant narrow it down to pictures and what you have seen over seas. As those of us in the army know units have budgets and what they do with that budget is up to their chain of command. So stop saying people use this and people use that cause the truth is because you have seen it doesnt make it the norm. For those of you tryiing to do a loadout, why dont you use generic items you know are issued and leave it at that because when you try to get as detailed as your trying to be there are many snags that you will run into the army is a big place, groups are a big place as well and what each battalion do doesnt mean the others follow the same path.

  6. Its not uncommon to see that much stuff loaded onto a molle. Granted your not doing a real mission and this is a loadout for airsoft but in real life that could be done. Think of it this way if you are on target you have a job to do you dont need to carry an assault pack when you can load your molle. Claymores, "intel" equipment, demo charges, medical supplies, etc. Now it does look funny for your loadout to be symetrical normally its geared towards whatever your position is in your squad. In most cases those mags are not for you but for your team members. You also have smokes and flashbangs access for your TL on your kit. They are position in a way so that you do not make drastic movements to remove them. Thats the reason you see most of the mag pouchs turned sideways. If you think that loadout is heavy.... put a real combat load on and give it a go. If I were you I would keep it and make it heavier as I get use to it, you will become a studd that can carry more than your chare of gear. Airsoft is just as much about physical conditioning than just playing solider. Strive to look the part and represent what you are dipicting, if anything you will be happy you can run 6 miles with full combat kit.

On a side note do you all wear your impression loadouts during games?

  7. Im not sure if you all know this but the black hawk down movies was not an accurate representation of special forces operational detachment delta. Its cool to look like the movie and all but, keep in mind that it was indeed a movie and that the loadout depicted was allowed to be shown for a reason it is wrong. I was talking with a SFC who was on set as an advisor during filming. Its a just so you know thing if you want to do a "delta" loadout just think direct action and it will get you close.
