  1. ew.. Here is another picture of my Ak... allready posted it in the My Weapons thread but this thread needs some classic Ak's...
  2. Some kind of Resin actually.. too bad it's not a GBB
  3. G&G Ak-74 and APS Stechkin
  4. Actually all Russian Type-3 Ak-47's (The TM Ak-47 is a Type-3) use laminated furniture, the Type-1 and Type-2 had solid wooden furniture. Hollowing out the stock isn't that bad.. atleast if it has space allready for a cleaning kit. On my Ak-74 I just had to remove a small bit extra and now a 1400 mAH Intellect mini fits in there, along with firing (even got the fuse in there ) BTW... how is the unifom doing
  5. That's looking very nice, nice job on the body as well Are PMKMS parts hard to find there?
  6. Ding ding ding.. winner! Soviet handguards from FSU/Rusmilitary, stock came from a private seller on this board (also a soviet stock btw).. Oh, the upper handguard is vented The stock took a lot of dremeling obviously, like cutting out room for the lower tang, handguards were easier.. Just got to dye the grip now (Dark red), I've got some Ak-74 (Izhevsk) mags here which will be converted to airsoft and my project will be done as far as I'm concerned.. Oh and after the summer I'm having the odd G&G thread rethreaded to 14mm, then I will get an adapter from 14 > 24mm
  7. My G&G Rk103 has been modded a bit.. here's a teaser: Wood wood woooood Whoever guesses the manufacturer of the wood gets a free cookie
  8. ANA Noch 91 bdu in Kamysh pattern. 3 Russian Ak-74 mags with Izhmash stampings, 2 orange and 1 plum. One of the orange ones has text on it: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/FW200/DSC03418.jpg With some help of Russian friend I had it translated and researched it a bit: The owner of the magazine was K.M. Mironov , He went into service in 1986, he ended his service in 1988. He served in Belavas in Kybas (Ural mountains). The mag was carved on the 7th of april of 1987. He was either VDV or MVD.
  9. I wouldn't call those upgrades or it being close to an Ak-74 but meh, whatever tickles your fancy I suppose

    3D Models

Something I did a long time ago for references etc: I made this before I had proper references, I could do a better job now but I can't be arsed I mostly make aircraft and other vehicles for game mods (Operation Flashpoint to be specific).. weapons aren't my cup of tea..
  11. Some Ak pictures : Pictures courtesy of my teammate SPB. FPS results: -ICS: 305 fps -CA: 330 fps -G&G: 315 fps All tested with Tokyo Marui 0.20g white.
  12. Soviet 6B4 body armour, with ceramic plates in the front and titanium plates in the rear. These were used in Afghanistan and Chechnya. Mine has the plates and is dated 1988. Quite rare
  13. It's a 1:1 Resin replica, made for museums etc.. Too bad noone does an airsoft replica..
  14. If you want a weathered look, throw it in the mud, take it out.. let the mud dry and brush it off a bit.. voila Just try and avoid getting mud in the internals

    ICS AK74M

Ak-74 Early: Wood furniture Ribbed top cover No sidemount (unless it's an early Ak-74N) Ak-74 Late: Plastic Polyamide furniture Ribbed top cover No sidemount (unless it's an late Ak-74N) Ak-74M Plastic Polyamide furniture Smooth top cover Sidemount Sidefolding full stock These are the basic differences. From this we can see that the ICS Ak-74M is basicly a late model Ak-74N with smooth top cover instead of a true Ak-74M, due to the lack of a full sidefolding stock.

    ICS AK74M

Don't worry, I will always nag about stuff like that.. it's just me

    ICS AK74M

The stock should look more like this (but then in black offcourse): http://www.k-var.com/shop/images/AK-020GUSW.jpg Pistolgrip should look like this: http://img4.photobucket.com/albums/0603/Ek...91941/grips.jpg As opposed to: http://www.icsbb.com/news/photo/1(8).jpg And yes these are quite small remarks.. both parts can be replaced. I'm quite interested in it's performance and to see when ICS is going to release the other Ak's it has mentioned on the box..

    ICS AK74M

Very nice ! Too bad about the stock and pistolgrip or I would get one Can you make some pictures of how the stock is attached?
  20. Well , yes.. their full steel Ak-103 kit (basicly the same, except for the calibre).. but I don't feel like paying 800-900$ for an AEG ..
  21. Ak-74M with sidefolding stock and scope rail. Pecheneg MG FN MAG I'm sure you all know what this one looks like FN FAL There is a classic airsoft one, but what about an AEG FAL?
