So what does the Generation 3 offer us that causes it not to break within 5 mags? Or around 3,000 shots.

Better yet, People should take out both pins and set the gun on the floor when disassembling due to this issue rather then having the upper supported on the front pin alone.

Notice that the tab has cracked in the same shape and position on both? I'm sure the others that are having this issue are in the same spot as well. So this is a production line issue. I'm surprised that they just didn't make the threading for the fore grip/delta ring and the upper receiver a one solid piece of material. Sadly that would up the price, but the quality guarantee would be profound.

I'm sorry, but looking at the before and after photo's I say it was bound to happen. Once it breaks... no matter what you do about "resurfacing" the body, it's still going to easily snap back off. This was certainly caused by tweaking it a bit the wrong way. Production line probably did it... great.. hate to say it; but I think Koba needs to crack down on their butts and crack the wip; not... that the managers aren't already doing that. To simply put it, I think they just put some heavy duty lock tight on it and called it good and shipped it out...

Dude, that is Beautiful... it makes me sad that I have to get rid of a lot of my airsoft guns. Someday I will have one... and it will have an EOtech on it, with a DD MK18 RIS, and my King Arms Silencer.

We need to try and boost up those sales, if we put the word out about this gun and boost the sales; company's no doubt will see it where they can make more sales and jump on the band wagon. For all of the new people who just received their guns, please go onto other forums and post up reviews of the gun. I believe that people should stick to the system that is working best for this gun rather then having the hassle of swapping parts out, the original hop-up system works fine. Instead of buying a 35 to 50 dollar tight bore barrel and then buying a replacement hop-up chamber to change it over to a AEG style. You might as well have just bought the VSR-10 barrel and it would have worked wonders over the AEG precision barrel...

The Hop-up unit would be to hard to make, seeming it is integrated.

LOL, I use to do the same thing. Just build up, buy the gun first; then buy piece after piece. Besides the anticipation will be well worth it instead of buying everything in one bundle. Yeah I know shipping through Redwolf is express and in the end buying it all would save money on the shipping. I don't even have the gun yet... so you have plenty of time.

On page 11 you will see the extent of wear that happened to Raven1's gun. It had a minor chip in the bolt mechanism; known to us as the "cup". The cup to an AEG user would be called a Cylinder, in this instance there was hardly any decrease in power; a little more on the gas consumption, but the gun is still shooting. I think he reached around 6,000 rounds so far. Awesome, okay. I take it when you have the piston and cup together with the elastic; it does not come close to being outside of the cup correct, even with a little force?

K, that is a good theory. I'd rather go with that then mine, after all why would Tanio Koba send out a product that can the piston slip almost outside of the cup?; like my theory suggests. PURE IDIOCY! on my part.

Judging by the picture where the Piston had nicked the cup correct? I'm not trying to question your authority, I'm just trying to make sure that the piston's head being pure aluminum with a O-ring around it; will not need to be dampened. In comparison to the stock cup seal on the front of the piston which in turn dampens the impact and keeps the alignment of the piston and cup; could ultimately cause a big crack in the cup if it where metal on the front of the piston. That nick was caused by the piston becoming unaligned with the cup and hitting it quite hard. Just trying to make you think

Well as long as it makes any compression, then it's naturally going to work. Unless the entire piston shatters the cylinder... Hmmm do you ever intend to make a metal cylinder? So this would be the Reason why the rubber band is needed. If the rubber band is too long it would allow the piston to go outside of the cylinder; correct? Thus causing needless wear... how should we fix such an issue? the Metal Piston will sooner or later KILL the cup.

Pictures? That sucks though. that's 300 more rounds than a WAM4. Who was it that started having this issue, was it raven1 or Donut? Order T_Hum's lol...
