  1. Remember guys that there is a new receiver that will be available. This probably means they are doing a BIT of remodeling on parts; this would mean that new parts are being replaced with newer versions and are no longer being stocked; and produced... Wait it out guys... wait it out.

    Hi Amadem,

    Thanks your take care me.

We’re adjusting this part #1(upper receiver) to make stronger now.

I suggest you wait for 2 or 3 weeks that will be finished the new #1.

Would you want to wait for it?

    Thanks!

    Clare

Either that or you're not getting any compression Donut... Is your BCG even actuating? Must be stuck closed then; if it didn't have the rubber band above the BCG the piston cup, the rest of the bolt would extend too far from the cup; This is what causes most problems with the cup being chipped on either side. \/

    What, I'm confused :/

My gun's been without the rubber band since day 1, and it's been working fine great. Are we talking about the same rubber band?

And yes, you can still get replacement parts. I don't know what kind of abuse you guys put your rifle through, but I really can't see catastrophic failure on the upper or lower without using it as a sledgehammer, or hitting it with one.

  2. Ouch, over $100 shipped for a single magazine, lol, I think I'll take my chances with 3, but thanks anyway :)

stickit, do you mean 3 of those annoying tube-things that we have to use to load the mags? or actual speedloaders? If so how do you make normal speedloaders work with the KJ mags?

i mean the small plastic loaders that you click to load fast; If you hold your thumb in the right spot you can do it. :)

  3. The mags really are out of stock everywhere, even in the small HK shops that don't have websites so can only sell locally...

Hopefully will be back in stock soon, don't really want to skirmish on 3 mags.

I have to skirmish on 1 mag tomorrow. hahaha This is why I carry 3 speed loaders that are full. Going to be weird having to be precise on my shots; it'll make for good training :)

  4. Got my KJW today, I am IN LOVE!! Quick question guys, what optics do you guys use and which stand up to the recoil? Will an ACM eotech work or should I go with something like a G&P aimpoint? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

I use an ATN Ultra Sight; it's pricey... lol 200 when I bought it, but I think Walmart has it on sale for 130 now.

  5. Just got released. To anyone who had their kjw in customs for more than a few days, did you gun arrive in 100% working condition? Please let me know, thanks!

You're worrying too much. Mine came in fine...

  6. Haha, thread lock? What thread lock?

Anyway, the spring that attaches to the BCG and cylinder went bye-bye, apparently. Didn't notice it until now...

Yikes. Well, at least I've got a back up. The gun still works, I think. In fact, I'm sure it does. I just don't think I should be using it like that...

Also, I was looking into the new cylinder... and there were 2 stock KJW piston cups in there... odd, huh? I think I might revert to that mechanism for a while, to save on x-rings and ensure that loosening doesn't occur again. When I'm up in Maine, I don't think excessive heat will cause many problems.

It's not that bad up here... lol, it's only in the 80's. Not going to be muggy this week; so it's prime time to play Airsoft.

  7. Sitting at 4 days in customs now, still waiting for my KJW M4. I hope it will clear soon.

Where did you buy it from? I got mine off of Ehobbyasia; took it 5 to 6 days to get to my doorstep. 3 day shipping through USPS; about 3-4 days in Customs; just wait until tonight for a tracking update... because they don't update the tracking numbers until almost midnight.

  8. So is it recommended that one should use non-lubracated gas. Because personally never relubed my gun, but over the course of a day after using green gas, oil will tend to seep out of the reciever. Will use of green gas also translate to oil being sent down the barrel?

If the problem is due to the use of green gas, im assuming I should stick to either 134 or Propane.

No what he meant was lubricating the piston with say... vasoline or another lubricant that is thick, once you fire it the lubricant will fly off of the piston and go down barrel. This is why I use Liquid Wrench Silicone Spray (it's thin; and not thick like other lubricants), it's what I clean the barrel with and put into my magazine as a propane additive. I haven't had issues what so ever with my hop-up. I although need to get .28 or greater for BB's since all I have is .20's so I tend to have fliers, other then the fliers though it shoots where I want it.

P.S. Even on a real steel gun after drowning it in lubricant it will seep out of whatever spot it can... it's totally fine. Better for the gun really...

  9. Had a failure today.

Switched to the shorter inner/outer barrel set up briefly, and fired off a mag. It was around 100F today. First few shots had a lot of gas venting, then it normalized.

Fired great -- accurate, kicked hard.

After I was done, I went to open up the receiver to check the status of things, and it wouldn't open.

Took off the front pin, and to my disappointment, the piston had unscrewed, the X-ring had lots of wear, the rubber band was very oddly-shaped, and the cylinder was broken in a couple spots. Golly, how did that happen?

I have a spare cylinder and rubber band, and some extra o-rings too.

I'll have pictures up later tonight.

Did you not use thread lock?

  10. Hey guys, quick question, my kjw has been in customs for two days now, should I start getting worried?

Nah... mine was there for a couple days as well... passed with flying colors.

  11. Do you have a link? I did not find much, doing a quick search here from work... Thanks!

okay sorry, messed up then NOT READY to be sold yet;but He's making one obviously... since he changed the FPS on the NPAS like on WA style GBB's.

  12. just had a chance to test my cqbr standard accuracy on 20m range. I put 4 cigarette boxes, and the gun shot very accurately, no fail! A friend of mine said its standard inner barrel is 6.01mm (dunno for sure).

Trust me, I have a 323 - 6.01mm barrel; and that was made by T_Hum... Most likely the stock barrel is around 6.03-6.05mm.

  13. Hey does any one happen to have a tutorial or pics on hop-up dis assembly. I disassembled my upper a couple days ago to install a new RIS and after wards the hop up was non-functioning. Also, when u complete a revolution on the hopup dial does it reset?

And finally. Has anyone actually installed a VSR-10 barrel with true success and a improvement in accuracy with out modification?

    Thanks all

The hop up is made of 5 pieces. The hop-up rubber, Barrel, 2 Metal pieces that clamp over the rubber and barrel, and then a brass ring that goes over the 2 metal pieces. It's so much more easier than AEG hop-up units. Just make sure after its all together that when you press down on the rubber that the nub on the inside is straight with the barrel.

  14. Where are the mags? It seems like every major retailer I know of has them out of stock. Was production cut at the source? I'm a bit anxious because I have no idea if KJW is going to make more of them - does anyone have any insight as to when we can expect to see them replenished at stores? A shame it would be if I end up with the one stock-skirmishable GBBR on the market, only to have just one mag!

Given the situation with the magazines, I am also worried I won't be able to get spare parts. I understand that some of you have gone through Clare at KJW to get stuff like hop-up buckings and spare rubber bands; these things are essential consumables to keep spares of. Can anyone confirm that KJW is still taking orders for spare parts through Clare's email address? (I ask only because I haven't tried yet.)

    Thanks for your help.

Let's not speculate... something as of this could spark a rumor; and which is not true. So let's keep this sort of stuff down. Simple Questions - Like "Are Magazines still available anywhere?" is fine... but a Question like "Was production cut?" will cause some people to speculate and go for the worse deals AKA- WE, INOKATSU, WA, G&P.

  15. I wondered the same -- there's some information in this thread regarding it.

In other news, my M4 performed well today -- except at the very end -- the thing happened to me where the BCG is stuck in the tube, and I can't lift the upper receiver. I'll have to work on it later tonight...

I would say the easy way would be to unscrew the end cap of the butt stock and then take the screw driver and push the buffer forward.

  16. hey folks got the bcg extension in... was pretty quick... but im having trouble installing it i havent been up on the installation process of this but i figure i just slide it into the open end of my bcg but it seems the extension is too tight of a fit will i have to do some sanding then?

    Rubber Mallet

  17. That's exactly the reason why I just tried the shrink wrap tube mod for my hop up. Look it up from this thread! Even with maximum setting the bb's flew like 20-30 meters and dropped fast after that. Now after the mod I can adjust it to shoot straight all the way, or even over hopup if I wanted to. (Two last settings will shoot up in the sky.)

I used two layers of shrink wrap tube, just as there was a picture here in this thread.

Was there a picture? What page is it on?

    Sorry it's rather dark...

I decided to take off the EASY-MAG holder because I'm afraid that it'll be too abrasive, and break the front pin mounts... plus it was cutting into the paintjob! :flamed:

Also I had to tighten up the buffer tube, there was a slight wobble to it. Other then that it is rock solid now :D

(EDIT) Whomever was wondering if the sling mount would work on the other models... it's a yes. It's a drop on piece to replace the original back plate. As for a part number.... my manual is only M4 Specific. Doesn't go into multiple models.
