  1. Nice. Gives me hope of salvaging parts for my own G3.
  2. What brand is the retractable stock and does it fit well? The internals look quite good. How many mags have you shot so far?
  3. Cannot wait to see pictures of the internals.

    Custom Gear

^I do not want to be on the receiving end of those.
  5. @Grimm That is one sweet looking G3! What do you think about the LC receiver? Is it as sturdy as claimed?
  6. ^I hope that is true for eotechs since I just ordered one.
  7. @calbur20 What red dot are you using and did you do any mods to keep the dot from moving off-center due to the recoil?
  8. I see what you mean by minor modifications to make the gearbox fit.
  9. Good to see it didn't take long and was an easy fit. In the past whenever you had to move a gearbox to receiver of another make, it was always a headache waiting to happen. I don't want to say manufacturers are now following some sort of standard but with your build it's sorta pointing to that direction and I have no complaints about that.
  10. ^How's the fit of the WE gearbox in the receiver, is it a tight or loose fit and does the nozzle line up with the hop-up correctly?
  11. My JG G3 RAS. It's been used for more than 3 years and still functions well. The USP I recently bought from a friend. Close up of the USP. Except for the white markings I like the used look.
  12. Thanks for the info. There are SERPAs and Safariland holsters available (the real thing and replicas). I even have one of those generic cordura holsters that can be mounted on a MOLLE type vest. Price aside, between Blackhawk and Safariland, which is chosen the most?
  13. Got a question for anyone who can answer. I recently acquired a USP for a sidearm now I'm looking for a holster, preferably one that can be mounted on a vest. Any suggestions on what I should be looking for?
  14. ^I'm curious about the Element H-nub. How is yours working so far? Does it make adjusting the hop easier in the sense that it is more sensitive or intuitive when turning the hop wheel?
  15. Those parts will work fine. What type of cylinder head are you using since you have an aluminum piston head? From my experience, stock cylinder heads don't last long anytime you change the piston head from plastic to metal or aluminum.
  16. @Wingman I believe it is possible since the G3 uses a version 2 gearbox. I can't vouch for every G3 JG made but it seems like the gearboxes on these guns are easier to open and close. Parts like the ARL don't popping out like on my old M4. This is true for my RAS and A3 units. What parts does your SG-1 have? @paul7848 Your welcome. First time I tried it in a CQB site I had to stay in the back most of the time and got hit a lot because I could maneuver fast enough. The length of the gun plus the fact I got used to crawling on my belly all the time made me an easy target. But once I got

    WE G39C GBB

I saw in another website where the c version is now available locally in my country. The price initially caught my eye until I realized that most of the external furniture is polymer. I wonder how durable it will be for skirmishing...and yes I am hoping WE comes ups with a K version.
  19. I made a review of my G3 after using it for year. You can check it out through this link: http://searspage.blogspot.com/2010/09/jing-gong-g3-ras-long-term-review-part.html
  20. Myself in between scenarios during a weekend game. Normally I wear a face mask along with the goggles. Except the for the shirt, trousers and chestrig are locally sourced as German BDUs and rigs are hard to find and quite pricey when ordering overseas.
  21. ^I would probably do the same thing if only I could find another G3. They're becoming very rare where I live.
  22. Nicce review. I own two JG G3s, one is the A3 and the other is the RAS version. One thing I noticed when I opened the mechboxes of both guns was the size of the bushings. On the A3, it uses 6mm while the RAS uses 7mm bushings. The RAS had a metal spring guide while the A3 had a plastic version. Finally, the motor on A3 looked like a clone of a TM EG560 while the RAS uses motor of its M4 lineup so it could be a clone of the EG700. Both guns are still working and I haven't done any major upgrades save for stiffer springs, metal bushings and a metal spring guide for the A3. I'm still using t
  23. What's the eye relief like with the red dot sight? I noticed in the real steel versions they are using either Eotechs or some other red dot sights.
  24. ^ Nice paintjob, no extra patterns and looks functional.
