  1. Indeed, and at least Glock didn't design it originally, if they had they'd be a nightmare to get hold of in the US with any type of trademarks, plus if Steyr wanted to sell the TMP design then what's the issue with B&T buying it and changing the name? Steyr probably think they're great for doing it. I just got a KWA MP9 delivered today, lovely gun but I forgot just how chunky it is! Now to tackle the pesky roll pins and strip the thing down
  2. Does the Tanio Koba USP .40 SD really count as a classic? I know it's not particually new but they're no older than TM Sig P226s and you can still buy magazines for them, I already have 7 magazines and 3 of the pistols, a spare trigger, the TK suppressor and my own upgrade piston heads for them so I don't need any more myself
  3. Another shell carrier on the way, this time from Angry Gun, looks very similar to the one Blobface did. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=678624532178786&set=pcb.678626615511911&type=1&relevant_count=2
  4. Can you not read archived threads at all? I'd always assumed everyone could but I guess it might just be a moderator only thing. It is possible to un-archive threads but it has to be done manually by Arnie or Marlowe for each one which isn't idea, but it may be possible to get some un-archived.
  5. eHobby now have 'clone' 50rnd Kriss magazines made by Apple Airsoft in stock, at $40 they're $15 cheaper than the original KWA ones, if the quality is good it's a decent saving. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/apple-airsoft-50rd-spare-magazine-for-kwa-kriss-vector-gbb.html
  6. You are correct there, quality is more important than the bore itself but that's not the point I was making. It's quite common for someone to take a set of digital verniers to their barrel, find they read something like 6.04mm and immediately conclude that the brand in question fits tightbores as standard when it isn't the case due to them reading around 0.03mm/0.04mm under the actual bore size, which happens to be the difference between what we'd consider a 'standard bore' and a 'tight bore' barrel. I've actually seen a manufacturer/distributer use digital verniers in a promotional photo
  7. Got a source for that? Call me sceptical but none of the retailers or even Samoon seem to be stating it has a 6.03mm as standard and over the last few years most claims of stock barrels being tightbores seem to have been based on measuring them with inaccurate equipment for such small bores. It'd be nice if it had one as standard but history tells me to doubt a lot of these claims.
  8. R-134a isn't a CFC, it was the replacement for R-12 which was a CFC. 144a is just a name Abbey Supply have given to a R-134a alternative/replacement for sale in Europe to make it more recognisable to airsofters as a low pressure gas, what the actual name of the gas is I don't know. That said R-134a is at the very least being phased out worldwide, even if it's not banned the drop of industries using it will cause it to become uneconomical to produce and even Japanese airsoft manufacturers will have to start using one of the replacements. On another note, everyone is talking about deform

  10. KSC doesn't make the Glocks, KWA makes them for KSC, and KWA Glocks are still extremely easy to get here in the UK, fresh stock hits UK shops quite frequently.
  11. Just got the keys for my new industrial unit, now to start filling it with machines to make new shiny things ^_^

  12. It should fit but remember the 'suppressors' that come with the KJW/ASG/STTI/Y&P Mk23 NBB have an extended inner barrel inside it, there is a good chance it won't at all line up with the barrel in the Kriss and result in poor accuracy, and then there is the potential fps gain from the extended barrel. Since 2005, if not earlier, although I'm not sure if KJW makes it or just rebrands it given all the brands they've been sold as over the years, the one I bought was branded as STTI and sucked, classic case of buy right or buy twice as I soon replaced it with a TM Mk23, The TM Mk23 is 16
  13. It'd need a bit more just drilling the pin holes, you'd also need to mill the inside for the base plate seal.
  14. There might be some change from £1k on the setup and having some prototypes made (Although I wouldn't be suprised if there wasn't), looking at the design of them I suspect it'd be a faff to actually make them and far more hassle than it's worth, I'd guess you'd be looking at about £100 per disconnector if no more were made after the setup run.
  15. If you're emailing engineering companies/machine shops asking for a price on a single unit of that part then I doubt you will have any luck, when you want hundreds and can put down the cash in advance for the setup and production run you may get some responses otherwise your emails will just get deleted. I could have them milled from steel for you, but you'd probably be able to buy close to 100 Action disconnectors for what it'd cost to set them up and run off a few.

    KRISS Thread

According to Airsoft Outlet it is 16mm CW threading, confirmed by the fittment of a Lees Precision Engineering 16mm CW to 14mm CCW thread adapter on it.
  17. Also as a rule I only post new threads in the news section if I have a new product on the way or released since that's what the news section is intended for, any offers and such I post in the existing thread of the product in question. If retailers want to post threads advertising sales, new stock etc they should be doing it in their own subforums although as Marlowe quite rightly said the retailer subforums are pretty much unused generally, nearly 1/3 of them have just been identified as inactive again and will be cleared out once time is available for it and I'm not aware of any that wer
  18. How likely is it that it's seated well if there is significant rattle in the slide on the frame though? It probably won't 'kill' gas efficiency, and I never said it would, but if you've got a sloppy slide fit then it's likely the seal between the mag and loading nozzle isn't as good as it could be so some loss of performance is to be expected compared with the same gun with a better fit. Yes you can fix things like that with various products, I make mag shims precisely for that purpose but it shouldn't really be needed straight away on such an expensive pistol imo, after some use and wear
  19. While it may be normal on a real one in the world of airsoft where the performance of a gas pistol partly depends on a good fit frame and slide, sloppy slide fit generally means more wasted gas, more cooldown, lower fps consistency between shots and less shots per fill of gas, not ideal if you actually want to skirmish with it but this does seem to be more of a collectors gun than anything so I guess it's not a big consideration if they are being made like that on purpose.
  20. skchan, I believe this is what you're after? http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_22_83&products_id=9782
  21. They're not, they'll always give inaccurate readings for an inside bore as small as an airsoft barrel which is probably why people always think some stock guns come with tightbores. I'd be willing to bet the person who has done that review of the Px4 has measured the inner barrel using a standard set of measuring calipers, if that is the case then I'd assume it's a 6.08mm barrel.
  22. Just added to new releases on WGC today, http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=special&item=RAT-CO2PS-RA002-KRIIB&search=special&rs=New%20Release&catid=&cat= Same pistol? Not listed as full steel though

Just a reminder to everyone, if you want to sell your guns or kit then you must post them for sale in the proper classifieds section and not in this thread, I have removed a number of posts attempting to sell, warns will be issued for any attempts to sell and anyone who has already attempted it and tries again will face a suspension or be banned as per the forum rules. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/386-general-rules-and-guidelines/
  25. Even if it was delayed SWAT would be able to put in a claim with RM for a refund of the postage cost and pass it back on.
