  1. Fitting the G&G lower is the same as doing a normal TM lower, although easier.

The MC51 isn't an invention of TM, Spedz is infact correct, FR Ordinance produced it for the SAS however it didn't prove to be a good gun and was ditched very fast. The airsoft version however is bloody brilliant!

  2. KSC genuin guns cost so much because they get them from their OEM in tiwan and perfect the slide fit and do QC and then ship to their distributors which ships them to shops. so that's 6 hands and 5 price markups to get to the places we buy them. with KWA it goes from OEM to distributors skipping 2 or 3 of those hands and a major price markup.

Erm, the extra QC thing is a myth. Aside from various differences such as trades and heavy weight plastics that are occasionally used on KSC and metal frames and slides on KWA versions there is no difference between KWA and KSC. KSC guns are subject to additional Japanese tax whereas KWA which was designed as an export brand of KSC does not, hence the KSC branded versions are more expensive.

Anyway, the SP2022 looks very nice, i have one of the KWC NBB Co2 versions and the ergonomics and feel of it is excellent. If KSC do a cheap metal OEM slide for it like they did with the P226r then i'll certainly consider one, no doubt there will be lots of CNC'd slides but i can't justify one of those when a $50 KSC slide works without modifications and is more than strong enough :)

  3. Guarder TM Sig P226 recoil spring will work, i got one for mine but foolishly cut it down because i thought it was too long and stopping the slide lock working, turned out it was the mag.

Get one of those, stick it in and leave it and enjoy the awe inspiringly fast cycle rate it'll give you :D

  4. I just want to be sure I'm reading you right: You're running your limited edition TK USP on propane? Is it stock and has the slide shattered yet?

I am also running propane in my TK USP which is stock, if you look at the slide design the front of it isn't going to snap off anytime soon ;)

  5. Thank you all for the nice comments.

I had some luck, i got the scope + mount + original box + cleaning kit for "only" 142.50 Euro.

    MfG Lee ;)

:o That is a very good price, when i was looking around for those scopes i found that just the mount base without the scope ran into $80 - $120 alone!

  6. Do CA selectors work with it?

Also how much did that Elcan cost you?

CA selectors don't work properly with the G&G lower, nor do TM :/

The Elcan is a guarder replica, it was about £70/$140

    Hm. Never noticed those before.

Though, from all accounts that I've heard, the KA midcaps are supposed to be steaming piles of stuff.

The waffle king arms highcaps and standards are by all accounts far better than TM and CA mags, their plastic mids aren't as good as that though.

  7. Rob15. Where have you bought the scope sitting on the first SG1?

Got it from firesupport, WGC also have them if you're not in the UK

    Rob15: That is pure sex

    :D

If I'm not misstaken, GrimGram, that is the G&G Reinforced Polymer Lower Receiver for FS51. It is indeed intended for the G&G version of the MC51, although it should fit neatley on most airsoft G3's I've been told.

Yep, thats the one, it'll fit TM G3s/MC51s, CA G3s and MC51 type things and JG G3s too and its much better than the 2 part reciever and grip set up., just beware the selectors don't always work with the G&G lower.

that tiny little scope must have some good eye reliefe...that thing is far forward.

Aye, my eye needs to be about 6 inches away to see through it clearly. Its a replica of a real scope and mount anyway so if that position is good enough for real military forces then it must work :P

I'd hardly call it tiny either, its nearly as big and bulky as the elcan :o

Rob 15 that is a nive SG1 set. I like the SG1 with the Elcan the most, can we get more detailed pics of that one?

Got these pics i took ages ago, they'll be so deep in this thread i'll post them again though.

Got some new pics too, i'll add them later tonight once i get back from work ;)

  8. But then again, according to Heckler & Koch the real steel UMP puts out 600-650 rpm, so lets just say that your setup is realistic. If you don't what help you are certainly not going to get it.

Its a good job i don't and won't need any help with it then :P

Sorry for the double post but here is a look at a compact from KWA the slide is pure metal not pot metal man its a nice furnish.

Erm no, it IS pot metal. KWA has always used pot metal (zinc/alu mix iirc) on their stock metal slides, its strong enough for GBBs but its no where near as good as a CNC slide.

Also, how many times are you going to get steel mixed up with magnesium, alu, pot metal etc and be told you're wrong before you learn?

  9. Rob if you only get 670rpm at 300fps, you definitely have a place or two in your gun that can be changed in order to raise your performance. I get around 1300 rpm at the same power level with an internal 8.4v battery. What parts do you use, what tweeks have been made and what is your power source?

i'd say what i put in there but i know you'd give me a lecture on how i'm not using custom machined titanium gearsets and nuclear motors etc so i won't bother.

I'm perfectly happy with 670rpm, i could get more out of it but i don't want to because i don't want any high rof AEGs.

Rob, there's something wrong with the rigth hand side of your camera lens!

    Fingerprints? :P

Probably, its my sisters old (about 5 years old) camera so its a bit dodgy.

  10. Well i was a bit unsure about UMPs before, but now they are a new love of mine <3 My DE UMP which has had a ftk and new hopup rubber and bucking fitted, hits around 300fps at 670rpm :D
