If its anything like my G&P G3 RIS then you could cut them down, they have a block with clamps onto the front of the body under the ris which you bolt the RIS down too.

Go into your control panel, go to the bottom and on the left nav bar you'll see 'manage friend list' Also if you go into 'view personal portal information' you'll find an option of wether you want email notification of friend requests or not, all a bit myspazy
