  1. Colwombat, The holster is solid and doesn't flap around at all, it stays put. The adaptor is from a portion of very stiff LC1 belt into which I melted a series of holes with my soldering iron and then affixed it to the holster with three bolts, one hidden. To make it easier to get the holes right I made a template of the bolt holes so I could get them in the right position on the belt section. Tom.
  2. As far as the stuff on my belt goes, then this does me fine. Everything else goes on the chestrig. Tom.
  3. I'll have to wait till I post in a new thread or start one. I'll report back if there are problems. Tom.
  4. Good stuff. Hopefully you'll have a fix in due course. Cheers, Tom.
  5. I don't know if this is related to the topic recently posted but when I reply to a topic I do not get an auto notification to my email when there are further replies. By default I have always had the option to 'auto reply immediately' and email me when there is a reply and I have just checked my settings and they are set correctly. I have also noticed that when I do reply the option to auto reply during a responce is un-ticked even though my options are set to the above. To follow the thread I have just posted to I have to manually click 'follow this topic' at the top of the thread.
  6. Here's my recently bought Tactical Tailor 1 piece MAV chest rig ensemble. It comprises, from left to right: 1) Blackhawk double pistol pouch 2) Safariland 6004 on a MLS15 fork 3) 4x Tactical Tailor Shingles (one for radio) 4) Maxpedition Medium Roly Poly 5) Tactical Tailor Joey hydration pouch. Still waiting on two Blackhawk pop flare pouches which I'll use to hold a suppressor and spare Lipo. They'll go far left and between the shingle and Roly Poly. Tom.
  7. Riot1980, Are you saying that is natural wear and tear? Tom.
  8. Spetsnazdave87, What chest rig are you using in the above photo? Cheers, Tom.
  9. Both nice looking guns. They've got that dirty, rough and ready look. Agent, Is the barrel bent or is the camera lens distorting the picture? Tom.
  10. Repainted my CA M24 after about 7 years, from woodland colours to a desert/Afghan look. Tom.
  11. MG42 on a Lafette 42 tripod with an Mgz34 optic.
  12. That's his NVG mount tension strap.
  13. No worries, bud. Glad the jacket is doing you good.
  14. Chris, It is perfectly acceptable to spray the gun and not spray the aimpoint and mount, as if it had been freshly issued or original had been damaged and replaced Same difference:
  15. If you use contact adhesive, the toffee coloured stinky stuff, then you will still be able to peel off the Velcro with a good tug and leave a near clean finish on the helmet and definitely the strobe, since it is smooth and the glue can be rubbed off. This is dependent on surface finish of the helmet i.e. paint texture, sand mixture etc.
  16. One way to cure the problem would be to fit a G&P Crane stock and buffer tube. This is for two reasons. The first being that when the stock is fully collapsed there is still a cavity of about 18mm remaining in the rear of the stock. Secondly, the G&P buffer tube has the buffer bolt step-down shoulder further down the buffer tube giving, approximately, an extra 25mm inside the buffer tube. However, this does require cutting down the upper receiver buffer tube mount by half, but this is part of the course for G&P Crane stocks.
