  1. Nice and snappy. p.s. only ever used Propane/Green.
  2. If your talking USPc then it will fit perfectly but a small modification might be needed to two inner corners of the slide. Two, small 45 degree chamfers on either side of the slide to avoid a slight catch on the mag feed lips.
  3. The Just helmet is a better copy than the Olka, certainly when it comes to the 2001. Olka's copy of the 2001 does not replicate the 2001 and is more realistic to the development Army SF helmet, but not even that. Also from viewing various pics the Olka 2000 it looks incorrect also. I've noticed that where it steps down to the lower rim/ear area the angle is too flat compared to the real deal or other replicas which seem to have a more acute angle. Olka helmets do not use the correct slot headed bolts but instead they use Allen bolts.
  4. I like the attachment method of the strobe.
  5. Apparently it is not that hard to anodise parts according to this guide. I'd definately give it a go if I had the inclination. http://www.overclock3d.net/articles.php?ty...with_annodising http://www.creative-chemistry.org.uk/activ...s/anodising.htm a kid could do it.
  6. AnnodiSing is an electro chemically applied protective coating. Did you go to an American school?
  7. HellsAngel, Oxidise is the word your looking for.
  8. I just wanted to see a normal, non artsy photo of the M4 to get a better view of its shortness.
  9. This guy is tech guru especially if your bag is high speed ROF setups. He's done it all.

  10. klh31, Just like to say that your AK has one of the best wear and rust patinas I've seen on an AK.
  11. Matt varnish will work, precisely why it is Matt varnish. Personally I wouldn't bother lacquering/varnishing it. If it is your battle rifle then it is a waste of time as it will wear away in all the same places as the paint will - bit longer mind. Do like the real soldiers do and just whack the paint on and leave it at that.
  12. Site, As it stands now you should either repaint with Matt paints or use Matt varnish. Better to repaint it as you'll need to thin any varnish to spray it or you'll leave ugly paintbrush strokes etc if you brush it on. You could try thinning the varnish to prevent brush stroke but you might lose some of the Matt effect.

  14. Nice review. A few questions: What are the other main components made from i.e. receiver, top cover, feed tray, barrel, bipod etc - steel, ally? Does the gearbox use ballrace bearings and what diameter are they? It would appear that the Sector gear has, at least, ballraces. Do you know if the hop unit is compatible with other makes i.e. replace it entirely? Cheers.
  15. ...and blank fire adaptor on the muzzle.
  16. Cheers mate. Asniperkill, Bit silly to spray the helmet while the strobe is in situ as you've got paint all over the IR hood? Helmets got nice character though.
  17. Mrk, Nice helmet. Where did you source your nvg parts? Olaman, The strobe is primarily a distress marker. It has the function of showing your position or a position. It has both a visible(white light), blue light(to distinguish from gunfire) and Infrared capability. This should help: The hook on the strobe is glued, while the loop parts are one length folded over on itself and again glued. This then allows the main hook section to attach to the strobe and the helmet.
  18. 'Cellulose' paint thinner or Methylated spirit(purple stuff).
  19. I think his sig might explain it. Bad luck.
