  1. They look awful! Where does it say they are ballistic rated? They look like seaside cheapos.
  2. Is there a big gap between the upper and lower receiver, towards the rear?
  3. How can you call that an AKMS? EDIT: you edited out the 'M'.
  4. Far East, Are the stock and pistol grip a different shade to the CASV? They look a lot brighter than the CASV, which has a more earthy matt look.
  5. So actual 'real deal' versions are IR/glint reflective?
  6. Yeah, cheers Tinkle. All's good. Seems kinda odd considering that they are for night time ops yet you have to energise them with a light source and then they are luminous. At each stage it could give your position away.
  7. Tangman, Nice one. Just what the doctor ordered.
  8. Luminous??!! Very snazzy and all, but what good is it in practical terms?
  9. Just to clarify, are people refering to the dimension below. Apart from this there is nothing else that could interfere with the sight adjustment humps when the sight is folded down. Basically, shoukd this dimension be slimmer, ala real steel, whereas it is too wide on the majority of airsoft upper receivers?
  10. Tinkle, I, for one, can't get it to download properly. When I 'save as' blah blah to 'my documents' I get that stupid ye olde microsoft icon with six little graphics inside a sheet of paper. It does buggar all if I try and open it with WMP, VLC etc etc.
  11. Is this P90 suppressor idea from the Live Earth literature?
  12. I think we can all agree that the KA Troy sight is the culprit and out of spec.
  13. TheKurodaVagrant, What is scolloped? The top of the rail is flat on all AR's.
  14. Here's a pic of a CA on the left and G&P on the right and I can't see what difference there is apart very minor, unimportant details. Any gentle, concaved curving belongs to the HK416 upper receiver, not the generic AR series.
  15. Scoob, you sure? I've just been having a gander and comparing Hurricane to CA on WGC and they both have the same number of rail lands and grooves and the rear of the rail of each looks the same. Both have the rail 'edges' sliced away on the back 3/4 inch.
  16. Only from the point of view that the actual rail is higher than all other rails and of course real steel. That is why CA, from CQBR onwards, in their wisdom, decided to also mess up their current run of RAS and raise the top rail so that it is non real steel spec so that it matches their upper receiver rail. The actual rail itself is fine, as far as airsoft goes. It is the sight which is at fault.
  17. The problem is not with a CA receiver or any other receiver, it is the sight. You can clearly see by comparing Renders side-on pic and the real steel pic below that the KA sight arm is much deeper and more bulbous, so preventing the sight arm from lying flat. 18. Render, Fraid not. Don't buy an ICS Arms sight. It'll break.
  19. Snipe, The battered M4 paint job looks excellent, although I do prefer a more traditional setup.
  20. Render, There's nothing wrong with your setup, it's called shoddy measuring and quality control by airsoft bootleggers. A real shame.
  21. Above Mr DCU. That ain't no dude, unless the guy behind has his trousers un-buttoned!
  22. Neato Burito. Knock it about a bit and it'll look all the better - roll it in some Portuguese dust.
  23. I'm so mean. Personally, I would go with PGC, while Creation are very good as well. If your looking for chalk and cheese then Guarder, Action etc are the other end of the scale. I would add, however, that the hi-flow valves are a rip. Reason I say this is because the exit port on the stock valve is the same size, near as damn it, to the mag exit port. Therefore, buying a valve with an enlarge exit port is a waste since the gas only gets constricted once more by the mag outlet. Also, and unless someone can correct me on this, I doubt the open area of the inlet side is any larger th
  24. Cam Keo SOC16, You have no excuses here as there are 38 pages of the very info you require. From memory virtually every aspect is covered.
