I managed to save my barrel... Kind of... I had to dremel off all of the threads, and JB Weld it back together. Seems strong enough for now until I find a replacement. Flash hider is still all chewed up though, I just could not get the darned thing off. Anyway, here's what I got for now. Oh, and a couple of pics of its little buddy. I went with the non-trade versions of both.

I saw one guy modded a barrel, but I have no idea what page it was on. I need an outer because I some how got a suppressor stuck on mine at the CQB length. I think it actually seized on the raw aluminum. I know it wasn't cross threaded because it went on smoothly. In any case, when I took it off (with vice grips), it took the threads with it. I'm kind of out of luck for now, unless the parts centers come up soon.

Got the 'servers down' email... But still NO tracking information. He only said "You should received your ordered items." Not sure what that means... I should be receiving them, or I should have received them? Whatever, its too late now. I replied that I want a full refund and that its already in my credit card company's hands. I'm not playing cat n' mouse to get the ###### that I paid for.

I don't think it cross threaded, because it went on normally. The only way to get it off was with vice grips, and it took the threads with it. I guess I'm SOL until Wetti gets one of the parts centers up and running. EDIT- But on a lighter note, my WE MEU with a neoprene flat washer on the guide has pumped out about 500 rounds, with no sign of any wear and tear whatsoever. No breakage.

Has anyone heard of an ATF ban on the importation of the WE M4 to the US? Is this true? Theres a post on ASF where someone mentions it... So what does that mean for those of us in the US with outstanding orders? The thing that upsets me is that he/they had no problem answering my emails BEFORE they had my money. After I paid, I got no reply at all. Hopefully, everyones items will arrive despite the poor customer service.

Good luck... I ordered a new upper set on the 9th, paid a total of $51 shipping (Speed Post), and still haven't gotten my stuff. I also haven't received any response to my email requesting some kind of tracking info. If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow, I'm filing a chargeback with my CC company. I'll NEVER order from Airsoft Buddy again.

I'm also using a bike grease called 'Buzzies Slick Honey'. Its a shock grease that I used to use in my high end paintball guns. Good stuff, its ultra slick.

Just a post for anyone interested in the Socom Gear DD rails... They fit with no trouble at all. You do need the DD wrench though, or maybe a strap wrench. The DD 9" rail that I got is drilled halfway through on the backside, finish the hole and you should be able to use your gas tubes. Also, the DD burnsed sling loops fit, but are smaller than the receiver end so they leave a bit of a lip.
