  1. Frapes seem to be getting more and more common now... Are people really that lax with their logon info?

I'm guessing they're just lazy when it comes to logging out.

  2. Utterly shattered, and soaked through, but Airsoft rocked, especially the James Bond-esque assassination of the enemy commander.

  3. Woop woop... Limited Edition Halo Reach Wireless Headset arrived :D

  4. Welcome to 2011, no doubt it shall pass as it started, not with a bang, but with a whimper...

  5. Merry Christmas! Hope everyone has a good one!

  6. Woot woot... Bursary has come through :D

  7. has finally defrosted after work yesterday... As wonderful as the railway looked in the snow it sure as hell was annoying...

  8. Please don't snow... Please don't snow... Do not want to have to stand out in the open all day in the snow...

  9. First day of Santa Specials at the Railway is over... Absolutely shattered, but a brilliant day nonetheless!

  10. As much as I disagree with the hikes to tuition fees, i cannot condone the insane mindless violence displayed today. It is both a mircale and a crying shame that the Police officers protecting Charles and Camilla did not open fire...It sure would have solved a number of problems if they had...

  11. Woot woot new laptop has arrived!

Well welcome back to the internets.

  12. I'm up to 6 orders with Firesupport now, including two AEGs and Two pistols and i'd recommend them to anybody. Nice easy website, accurate stock counts (why can't more sites do this?) and good order tracking... Their customer service is spot on and the problems i've had (one broken piston, and one faulty pistol OOTB) have been sorted quickly and without fuss. My general rule of thumb is, if Firesupport have it, i'll buy it from them.

  15. Finally I can add a shot of my MEU into this thread... Wood grips arrived this morning. (Apologies for the average photo quality...)

  17. The G&P Aimpoint I bought recently does have the Sun Power System sticker, and does have a slight blue tint to the lens. Nothing as severe as Jin15s though... It's noticeable, but really causes no problems. Other than that, it's an awesome optic, lovely and solid, and the dot is perfect.
  18. Two ARU officers visited my college last week, and they were both using Sig P226s with a Torch of some description in dropleg Safariland Holsters. (Chatting to them later on they told me that they are switching their Sigs for Glock 17s as they are cheaper.)

buzzsaw, do you have to get your eye right up against the rubber eyepiece to actually see through the Star SUSAT? If that is the case, then (for me at least) the eye relief would be identical between the real thing and the replica... I can only look through a real steel SUSAT with the rubber eyepiece right up against my eyebrow...
  20. That's exactly what I thought... Everyone is issued with sets of greens... And the squaddies going out there just aren't taking them with them... And I believe that Temperate UBACS have just started being produced... None of the serving soldiers I know have got one yet, but there are some around and about.
  21. You do know that the British have mounted multiple weapons on vehicles since World War 2? Try 5 Vickers machine guns on Willys Jeeps used by the SAS in World War 2. Or the infamous Pink Landrovers, similarily armed with multiple weapons (I can't remember exactly what in this case though) On the topic of things like SLRs... We didn't adopt them earlier because we didn't need them... The Lee Enfield was (and probably still is) one of the best Bolt Action rifles in the world. We looked at adopting the FN FAL (which became the L1A1 SLR) as early as 1950. You also comment on how our

No, the UGL can't be changed as the whole mechanism and body is designed for the barrel to swing out to the left hand side...

From the ones i've had experience with (G&G, AA and Star), i'd definitely recommend a Star (or now the Ares version)

Star SA80 with Star UGL RS SUSAT, LLM and Sling... (It's not mine sadly, it's my mates pride and joy... It's an absolutely beautiful piece of kit (aside from the work I had to do to get the UGl to fit...)
  25. Cheers for the comments! And thanks Voodoo1 for identifying the smock for me. In response to the comments about the respirator pouch, it's on my webbing because I haven't got anything else to put in it's place! I'm looking to add a Water Bottle Pouch and second Utility Pouch to my webbing at some point in the near future (my team is looking at doing a 24hr excercise at some point so I need to get myself PLCE Combat order at the very least) but until then the Respirator pouch fits P90 mags quite nicely (my primary weapon), and for normal games, two double ammo pouches (one bottle of w
