  1. Some Mag-K in action (I fielded her for the first time this past weekend): Props to gunner_archer for taking the pics.
  2. On a happier note, fielded the Mag-K for the first time today. Albeit some minor issues with the beta project mags (which caused some feeding & air-leakage issues initially), she was fun to sport, but I'm still not quite used to the weight balance (front heavy) and mag changing. Props to gunner_archer for taking the pics.
  3. The newer VFC Scars don't have trade anymore probably because Cybergun/FN made a fuss.
  4. Oh now you just need a baby receiver as well.
  5. No. And I hope they never do make one. Too much of a beauty to make a farce out of.
  6. Took the URX3 for her first game on Sat. I was amazed by how easy she was to handle due to how light she weighed. I'm a happy camper (not literally). Some pics:
  7. Here you go. Seems the Larue mount gives a bit more room between the mount and the top rail.
  8. Tacticool AKs!! This must upset some people!
  9. I also do have a gear sector scoutlight offset mount and I've tried it with the URX3 as well. I think both mounts are very good. The Gear Sector does have a smaller profile (without the lever), however, that said, I have to say that the LaRue is much easier to install and remove (just a lever), whereas the gearsector requires you to unscrew it and slide the entire mount on & off. Here's a picture of both them on the URX3 (Apologies for the bad picture of the GS Mount. I'll take some better comparison photos when I get home tonight):
  10. Yes! It's definately coming together! Looking most excellent! I'm also curious to your approach for the MIAD, AZN and I both failed at this. I found that the angle/placement of the motor&cage sits in the wrong place (if I remember, it's further back from the trigger guard than it should be). EPIC FAILS hahaha
  11. Thanks! I personally am still a big AR fan (I like tacticool things) but I'm quite happy with how the Mag-K turned out. Although I don't like the weight balance and ergonomics of the AK (weight balance too heavy frontwards due to pistol grip too far back, and the Ultimak RIS didn't help either), she's still quite the beast. I really enjoyed working on this project and I'm inspired to build it again on a GBBR platform. That said, I'm still waiting for pics of yours
  12. Oh I see. Mine's the ADM Recon-X mount which mounts a bit more forward than yours. Oh I'm really interested in that RMR mount! Let me know what ADM says, and I'll take one too if it comes to fruition! EDIT: I thought about opting out for the Larue SPR LT104 with the J-Point offset mount, but if you can get this ADM ball rolling, I'd save a chunk of change!
  13. TR21/24? EDIT: What kind of mount are you using?
  14. Updates to the MAG-K: (Purists look away)
  15. A few shots of my VFC MP5 GBBR: -VFC Retractable Buttstock -RS S-E-F Lower (A3 Style) & Selector -RS Surefire 628 Handguard Other than that, it's all factory stock.
  16. My Magpul X KAC URX3: Edit: Parts List: -VFC SR15 -RS KAC URX3 -RS KAC URX3 Proprietary Handstop -G&P 16" Dimpled Barrel -KA KAC-Style flashider -Dytac VLTOR Gasblock -Custom Mid-length gas tube -Magpul PTS MIAD (Custom colored front strap) -RS Magpul CTR & Enhanced Buttpad -RS Trijicon Accupoint TR24 (1-4x) w/ ADM Recon Mount -RS Surefire M600C Scoutlight w/ Larue Offset Mount (custom cerakoted dark earth)
  17. Nice USCM, I thought about this build, but couldn't locate the LW URX, so I gave up and decided to go with the URX3 instead. Did you manage to get your hands on the handstop for the LW-URX? I believe it's the same as the URX3 handstop except with a slightly different washer nut (KAC P/N 25985-1).
  18. I couldn't resist. Had to get the Dynamics seal of "Hell ya" on the MAG-K. Laser engraved the dynamics logo on the back of the top receiver cover.
  19. I think it's an improvement on Gen 1. A lower profile yet slightly longer/taller. The adjustment is much easier now that they use a spring loaded locking pin. I've noticed the activation spring is less stiff on the Gen2s. Here are some comparison pics:
  20. The original Mag-K was based off a Saiga which does not have the mag well dimples, so I decided to replicate the details as close as I could.
  21. Boring out the insides of a translucent mag will result in cloudiness.
