well, for landscape youre not going to be using your 1.4/50mm at 1.4 are you? cant recall what the sweet spot is, but most lenses are around f8-f11 mark. for landscape work you would be going wide, without getting distorted. i notice distortion at 20mm, on mine [at closer distances obviously]. at wide angles, the kind of thing that would sort that issue is a tit/shift lens, but theyre fiddly and expensive and manual. 28mm is a pretty good focal length. otoh, have you got a cropped sensor or a full frame camera? with a cropped one, you have to compensate for what is going t

oops a DP situation! kekeke *dribble*

el cheapo 70-300 lenses are sometimes also macro lenses - i think sigma had one going. i think they were 99-199 or so. 50mm fixed lenses are lovely if theyre fast ones. fixed focal length/primes are lovely bits of glass, and often cheaper than zooms. for a DX [ie. cropped] sized sensor chip though, 50mm will give you a field of view thats more like looking through a 75mm or so [watch that the physical specs of the glass do not change, youre still looking through a 50mm lens, just that what you see is a bit smaller in terms of imaging size]. this is not a bad thing, but it does leav

for some reason i was thinking i would see something naked in the albums...

14 is crazy wide on 35mm. 14, if there were any, on MF is wacky widest i go on 35mm is a 20-40mm zoom, which suits most generic applications without distracting distortion [which i cba to fix tbh]

my d2x cost me three times what my first dslr did [a pentax ds ist, as i came from a pentax film background] - but i love the ergonomics of the nikon d2 and d3 bodies, and find them intuitive and fast to use, and despite what it, and the d2h i had before it cost me, i knock 7 shades of ###### out of them and they run just fine. despite the high iso low noise capability of my d700, i feel slightly less confident with knocking it around. and yes, i did buy those bodies precisely for speed, not just in terms of sheer power [focus motor, processing, etc] but also in terms of actual speed

from what i've read, the d3s is king of high iso, not the 1ds4. that said, i've used both the 5dmk2 [is nice but not my bag] and the d3s [sweet], and d3 before it, and only fiddled with the d3x [i could only appreciate it for studio work, but then again i would choose mf instead]. currently own a canon ixus. d3x is a studio bunny, and not meant for low light. i hear its being replaced very soon. d700 has the same chip as the d3, and is a low light bunny. d3s has a new chip, which meant better specs than the d3 or d700, and hd720 movie. hth //-------------- a

i actually hadnt been on the forums since sometime last year - just moved and got my connection back and decided to pay an old friend a visit. its nice to know i can.. just slide back into an old friend, no lube required... sure shes been around a bit, opened up a bit, perhaps a bit wide down the sides, but i can push her together and its like old days again. bit of a tickle up top and she writhes below me. just the way i like it. ah. the old days.

thread creator has more pictures but i dont see which, if any are of him. they all seem to be period shots. the ss anti-partizans in yugoslavia during ww2 have a pretty bad reputation, along with the ustashi, and it all came back to the surface rather bitterly during the 1990's. i think PlasticMag's response is not entirely unexpected given that the yugoslavian wars were pretty recent, largely unresolved, and obviously hit his family harder than say hit mine [i have family there too]. for a lot of people, especially in the region, in their mind, this conflict is not resolved, and
