ROFL! cheers chaps! glad you liked them - i was worried they were a little harsh.. really all it was is my white table [its horrible really, its usually covered in a table cloth] and a desklamp bolted to it over the top. the room light is also on, and the camera is on a tripod, with a 2 sec delay to stop any movement in the camera when i press the button [i still dont have a remote thingy/cable release], oh and i use flash. camera is set to, i think, 2 second exposure. aperture is pretty wide-ish iirc. the resulting photo is still quite dark and has a very strong orange tint b

if you use medium format, perhaps, butmosdt peeps cant tell the difference these days, and by film you mean consumer film? or mdeium format and above? the ccd resolution/size of chips is a problem atm, to get the closest to consumer film at 35mm you need the digital equivalent of somewhere in the region of 22mp - even pro-ish cameras are only about 12mp - the medium format digital cameras are 22mp, but who can afford £15,000 for one.. [most people i know hire these out instead] for the average consumer film equivalent , current dslr's can take their place - but then its more about

get a digital slr, or at least one of those top end ones that allow you manual / partial-manual control.. canon 300d / digital rebels are probably down to us$450 these days..

lol, i did say off the top of my head/ my only reasoning was that i thought the g&g's were cheaper than the asc's. now i'm checking and the g&g averages at $470, with the asc at $488 .. i believe when i ordered one at asc it was down to 420, but that was a limited special offer price-cut..

no idea, i got it like that - it wasnt a kit. iirc it came from a japanese airsoft trade show as a show piece.

i got it 2nd hand, but you can buy it from any of the HK retailers - but i think the production times on these are either very slow or intermittent. try going for the G&G M14, as that is now in stock, or was, and is a production model rather than the TC/ASC one which is a limited/part-hand-made custom. i think the ASC is about us$450 and the G&G is around us$350 [off the top of my head]
