  1. Getting into position on the enemy's flank at Comanche Wood, Coventry (Photo courtesy of First and Only Airsoft)
  2. I wouldn't have thought so mate, seeing as how the gas block on the L22 is in a completely different place, the sight picture would be utterly ridiculous. Optics all the way.
  3. No serious frills to it - Army Armament R85A1. No internal upgrades. Second hand SA80 series sling attached. Cheap and cheerful LLM attached with electrical tape - obviously it doesn't hold a zero worth talking of but the torch is useful in CQB and the laser for rapid target indication. The EOTech is a cheap and cheerful ebay find, 18 quid, it does the job and is bloody handy considering I play mostly at night these days. And yes, I just took the iron sights off and bunged the EOTech straight on - no additional rails or attachments were needed, it screws in tightly enough and provided it isn't
  4. Safety catch off on that M4 there tut tut I'm liking the relatively standard look on it though, no frills, just a good optic. Originality at its finest I'm going to pimp my M4 in the next few weeks hopefully, an EOTech 552, a single RIS rail and a vertical grip. It also needs a clean as it's got *fruitcage* loads of mud on it from the last game. Pictures soon to follow!
  5. How anyone can not love the L85A2 is beyond me. I await the incoming.
  6. It's threads like this that make me love the L85 (I wonder why? ) I don't care what anyone says, the SA80 series of weapons is beast, absolutely wicked. I particularly love your latest pics, spetsnaz. How does the foregrip feel? (Please don't just say plastic ) What advantages does it bring? Having not used one before I would like to know, I'm thinking of adding a single rail and a grip pod to my M4. Is it worth it?
  7. Interesting, every time I've ordered from Cadet Direct I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever and found them VERY helpful when I've had queries, always receiving good information quickly. Sounds like you guys have had a case of bad luck. I will agree that they can be very pricey for some items though, but I can count on them when I need issue kit replacing. Not disputing any of your stories, merely trying to add balance to the thread.
  8. Indeed, seeing as they made such a fantastic job of the LSW in MW2! That POS was an abomination.
  9. Surely you can't be serious
  10. Think of how heavy that would be if it existed
  11. Fair enough Oh well at least the 180 shirts fit
  12. Guys, quick question - I believe I may have the wrong sized smock. Having never been measured and issued with gear (that's the cadet forces for ya) I've never had the right size kit. I am 178 centimetres tall and very skinny with a 28 in waist. No idea what my chest size is and I'm pretty certain it's rather small. I have a size 180/104 smock (sounds sensible to have the 180 if I'm 178 cm tall rather than to have a 170) - and yet the bottom of the smock comes down halfway below my map pockets on my combat trousers. The 170/104 smock comes down to just above the map pockets - which I a
  13. Dude, you familiar with the Highlander Infantry Assault Vest by any chance? Thinking of getting one.

  14. ^ Simple and efficient, I like it! I'd advise a smock though to protect you a little? (Your choice of load-out of course.) To avoid repeating one of my posts in another section, linky: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=159597&st=360 (third post from the bottom, page 19) - pic of me in DPM load-out at Drakelow Tunnels. Mk.6A and CEFO - but as I had a training weekend the following week I simply couldn't be bothered to take all my mess tins, rifle cleaning kit, first aid kit, model kit etc out of the webbing, plus a shed load of stuffs in my smock, so it weigh
  15. Me on the right (in the DPM), my mate on the left. My helmet is a real Mk.6A - black ballistic nylon exterior and had the mesh inside for padding rather than the pathetic bit of string in the bog standard Mk.6 helmet. Issued DPM cover with name tape sewn on expertly by one of my teachers wish I had been allowed to keep it, so much other padding inside, really comfy. The helmet on my mate - not quite so sure, PASGT replica of sorts - maybe someone here is in the know? And yes, I do look like a complete mong. Taken at Drakelow Tunnels, February 21st this year.
