  1. Metal, yes Steel, no Alot of their more recent models have steel recievers, but there are still alot of non-steel metal parts.
  2. Does it not get in the way? I find regular banana mags to be awkward enough when prone and crawling through undergrowth. And if he's making 4 how are you going to carrying them? Do pouches big enough even exist? But regardless it is still awesome, must get alot of interested looks on the field.
  3. Don't worry, keep reading a thread like this and you'll eventually learn everything. Remember one of the fastest ways to get something right is to get it wrong the first time.
  4. I thought we were talking about a 7.62 AIMS, but the one in the link isn't strictly correct, it looks like someone just got a regular AK74 and swapped the forgrip for a Romanian one and the pistol grip for a wood one, Romanian AK74's have the same pistol grip as a russian one, an AKM style gas block, a slightly different front sight, an AIMS stock and a different charging handle. As seen here; http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//500/661Rom74025.jpg
  5. Do you have a link to one? I didn't know kalash made a Romainian AK yet.
  6. An AK47 gas block would look more correct IMO (though still not right). I've never actually seen any AKM woodkits that aren't part of conversion kits, this claims to be one, http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/product_in...roducts_id=2986 though its not correct, it really seems alot more like an Ak74 woodkit (well it basically is one that they just decided to change the name, although the bulge still seems to be a little wierd). And Scarclaw was right about the sights, the front sight on the AKM is different from both the AK47 and the 74, but the rear sight is the same. Edit: What's wrong wit
  7. That am AWSOME! Thats what my AK wants to be when it grows up. Bet that gets some attention when you take it out.
  8. Oh ok, never new about all of that, I was searching for a while and never really found much on it other than the fact that the stamped receiver was lighter, but I already knew about that. Thanks for the info, and hopefully someone will make a better replica of it. I still expected ak47's to be a little more popular, but there are probably more of them in the first version of the thread.
  9. My humble AK47, mostly cyma, but externals have been changed quite alot. Sorry for bad phone pics. In these two pairs of photos the wood looks quite different, but in reality it's probably closer to the first two pictures. Why are there so few milled receivers in this thread? everyone seems to have AKM's and AK74's, (and AIM's etc.) I would have thought 47's would have been more popular than they are.
