I may be wrong but for me airsoft is not only about going out and play but it also about tinkering with my stuff. That is something that makes the feel of airsoft complete to play with something having my own work and knowledge in it.

My DTW has broken its nozzle. Yeah. At least replacement is available for cheap...

I am still saying the 'plastic receiver' string is a typo on ehobby webshop. Check the product video on ehobby in full hd and full screen, there are clear marks of alu cnc milling, slight paint chipping on the receiver, but for the most important part of the video when it shows the open receiver and pulls the cylinder check the upper receiver part where the back pin goes to the upper when closed. That's clearly has a metalic look. Over all, it looks to be slightly better than the a&k, because of the programmable burst electronics.

Furthermore, depending on formulation some stainless steels are not reacting to the magnet. Like the a&k ptw stock tube (definitely stainless steel), and a&k m24 cylinder (stainless too). IMHO the a&k is a much better made replica when compared to the DTW (have the DTW, friend has the a&k). Time will tell how long they going to last. IMHO there is no market for a plastic body PTW. PTWs are bought for realism...

Just send it back to taiwangun, and let them fix the issue.

I see a couple of drawbacks on the g&g design. First and foremost it has at least two sets of detachable copper electrical contacts which can loosen up over time and/or corrode over time. I imagine lots of contact problems, burning contact surfaces, etc, a real electrical nightmare especially when used with higher rated springs which require more voltage and current. On the disassembly video they used a cylinder set similar to ICS design, made of zinc alloy, pot metal. Why ? To heavy, too big parts, bad cold weather tolerance, prone to break, etc. the easy disassembly process shows

Saw it only on airsoftgun.at but he has sold out his stock within one day, and that was before taiwangun stocked the a&k. He said the next batch is about to arrive at the end of april.

Thank you for the vid, at least I see the replacement of the individual mosfet is easy. Could you upload a close-up photo of the mostfet board where the text on the mosfets are visible ? Maybe we can find a more affordable solution instead of replacing the ecu-selector-mosfet board trio. May need some soldering skills tough. Furthermore if you may sell the faulty ecu and mosfet I would be interested in buying it (to find out how to repair it).

Strongly agree, I think it is better to collect all information from the clones in the same topic. Back to the a&k, the externals look and feel great, and IMHO it is easier to change some of the internals rather than changing receivers, barrels stock tubes and others. One more thing, the a&k gearbox and ecu seem to be better for me. Stops in the right place all the time, there is no horrible sideway play on the 'sector' wheel like on my dtw. I am pretty sure they have underestimated the initial demand for the a&k ptw and stocked only a few (~30 pieces) and they sold out that amount within five days. The reappearing item on the webshop may be caused by placed and not payed, later cancelled orders.

I have to say I am only able to compare the g&d and the a&k (these are affordable to me) and the a&k is clearly better. Did six vids including the unboxing, chrono, dtw comparison, I tried to show you all everything that the short time window allowed. Had to give it to the owner. Unfortunately I cannot afford two guns priced at that range at the same time but In fact I would be happy to see the DTW going away with the idea of purchasing an A&K in mind.
